We brought in our vehicle to have the weather strips replaced on all four doors under warranty as it was loose and falling. This was the 2nd time the vehicle was being brought to the dealership for the replaced on all four doors under warranty as it was loose and falling. This was the 2nd time the vehicle was being brought to the dealership for the same problem. My husband was called and advised we needed a brake job like "yesterday". We advised them not to complete the brake job because the brakes were replaced a little over 12 months ago at Firestone. We took the vehicle back to Firestone for a brake inspection and were advised the brakes are in good condition and recommended to have the brakes reinspected in 6 months. I don't know why the dealership removed the wheels to do a brake inspection when the vehicle was in for warranty work on the doors and we weren't having any problems or noises with the brakes. When I spoke with management at the dealership I expressed my concern about them not offering a 2nd opinion about the brakes when there was a major discrepancy. I was advised they don't feel they need a 2nd opinion because their mechanics have a lot of training and know what they're doing. I think this is a terrible dealership policy. I was very unhappy with the service AND customer service at this dealership and filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General AND Hyundai Consumer Affairs. I would NOT recommend bringing your vehicle to the service department at this dealership even if it's for warranty work. All of the above information is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I came for service on my 2005 Elantra and left trading in the Elantra and buying a 2012 Elantra Touring. Dave was a great dealer, no pressure sale. I went to the dealership cause they had the Elantra instock. Dave called me before I got there. Worked a great deal for me and my family and allowed us to stay within our budget. Stay far away from these guys. Disorganized, unknowable and undependable. I ordered a car through them, put money down and instead of being honest about the fact they were never allocated the car, they st and undependable. I followed up 4 more times on the phone and finally went into the dealer to get a straight answer. It was just a bunch of guys standing around doing nothing. I explained the situation and my salesman was off that day. They other salesman were all trying to get me to buy whatever they had on the lot despite me being very clear about the fact I had ordered one. They told me to wait while they looked in the system. I saw another salesman walking around with a dirty toilet plunger on the show room floor and I got up and told the guys I wanted my money back. They of course started the song and dance how they can get me the car from another dealer ship. I told them they blew it, and when I asked again for my money back they told me they could not do refunds after 5PM! I just laughed and asked when I could get my money, and they told me to call back the next day. So if you want to get a run around and be lied to by a bunch of guys who know next to nothing about the car you want to buy feel free to take the risk and buy from them. More
I went in to buy an Accent, I brought my truck in for a trade in. The used car manager took my truck for an entirely too long test drive (half an hour), went to two other dealerships for an appraisal, then trade in. Then preceded to tell me that my trucks value was less due to my warranty being voided because of certain add ons I have to my truck. Well, my drive train warranty is valid for 18,900 more miles. So after that lie from the used car manager, I did loose all patients for the games he wanted to play. I feel that lies from the start would not get me a good deal on a new car, or any car from this dealer. I would never recommend this dealer or expect to get an honest deal. I hope that future customers don't fall for the dishonesty and games that this dealership, (mainly the used car manager), intend on trying with customers. Buyers beware, and do your homework if you plan on making a purchase from this dealership. More
Being my first car, and me being fresh out of college, I was very tensed when I took my Hyundai Accent for its 1st service. But, surprisingly, the attitude of the guys at Elgin Hyundai, made me ease off a was very tensed when I took my Hyundai Accent for its 1st service. But, surprisingly, the attitude of the guys at Elgin Hyundai, made me ease off a bit. They had a reassuring effect, and convinced me that my car was in safe hands. It just took a few hours, and I was back with my car. And, finally when they gave me the bill, was when I let out my tension. It was very nominal. I would certainly choose Elgin Hyundai next time. Especially Mike, who attended to my car very carefully. More

I am glad that I chose Elgin Hyundai. The whole sale went smooth and not stressful at all. I found the car I wanted on the Internet and then went thru Trevor (Internet Sales) and got hooked up with Joshua Ha smooth and not stressful at all. I found the car I wanted on the Internet and then went thru Trevor (Internet Sales) and got hooked up with Joshua Hastings (Sales). Joshua is an excellent sales person as there was no pressure and he had the vehicle ready when we first arrived for a test drive. Josh answered all my questions and I got a great deal on the vehicle I wanted. The price was excellent and after the deal the Financial person (named Marina) was great to work with as we wound up getting an extended 5 year policy for maintenance. Joshua sold us the protection package and I was really thrilled with what that was as I now have the whole underneath of the vehicle coated with a protective coating that will also deaden the noise of the road. Josh was very friendly and took his time thru each step of the sale ... I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a new car. I will also recommend the Hyundai Santa Fe to anyone looking for a nice SUV as it is really the same size as the 4 door Blazer I traded in. I am VERY pleased that Josh gave me a great price for my trade in too! Great people to work with here at Elgin Hyundai. At the end, Josh took us around the dealership and introduced us to the Service Dept Managers and then to the Sales Manager, RIch Rius who also gave me his card in case I needed help or any questions. I will definitely take my new Hyundai here to Elgin Hyundai for all my Service. The Service Dept looked very organized and clean. More
