Communication from the service advisor, who is the assistant service manager, was nearly non-existent. I had to initiate all communication. I brought my car in early in the morning. At the end of the assistant service manager, was nearly non-existent. I had to initiate all communication. I brought my car in early in the morning. At the end of the day I contacted the service advisor and was told was that the service contract provider had not yet given authorization for the repair. I then arranged to pick my car up. Days later I contacted the service contract provider myself and was informed that the authorization for the repair had been provided to Elk Grove Ford days ago. I again contacted the service advisor and let them know that the repair was authorized. I then had to wait for parts to be ordered. I was not informed when the parts were received. After several days, I again initiated communication with the service advisor to schedule an appointment to bring my car back in for the final repair. All together a repair that should have been completed in one day took over 2 weeks to complete. If this was a repair that could have been completed somewhere other than the dealership I would have never taken my car to Elk Grove Ford and, based on my experience, in the future I will take my car to a different Ford dealership in the area.
