This was far and away the worst experience I have had at any dealership. These people are liars, plain and simple. I went in to look for a lease for a Mazda 6, I had already searched around at other places any dealership. These people are liars, plain and simple. I went in to look for a lease for a Mazda 6, I had already searched around at other places and had an idea as to what I was looking to spend. I spoke with John Chong at first, dealt with him for a little while which didn't start out all that terrible. Aside from frequently using the phrase "a little more better" he was actually a decent salesman. After finding a price we agreed upon, they faxed me paperwork for my credit check and the lease agreement, which was clearly the exact amount that we had agreed upon and no hidden fees or anything. I also received texts from Johns personal number ensuring me that... and I'm directly quoting here... "I'm glad we can earn your business, Thank you and I will speak with you tomorrow". The following day, I asked if there was a way we can expedite the process. I tend bar some nights and had to work a couple of doubles in a row, and I was looking to take care of the car situation as quickly as possible. When I asked how soon I could come in to sign and pick up the car John said (again, direct quotes, Ill save these texts for as long as I can to deter people from shopping at this miserable location) "I understand your concern, I'm still in the process of getting your vehicle, but my fiance manager is off today. What I have to do now is have my inventory department look for a car with the colors you asked. I was able to get you the price you wanted, I don't appreciate you telling me how to do my job."..... That's a real quote. I'm not kidding. I asked, quite simply, how soon I could get it, and that was the response I received. I chalked it up to perhaps a bad day, and since I wanted the car, I ignored it and continued to work with them to get the car as fast as possible. Here's where It really gets interesting.....The next day he says "I have great news, my sales AND finance manager just approved your lease. We should have your car ready for pick up by Saturday". I then arranged for the pick up on Saturday, arrived at the dealer a little late, so understandably I had to wait until they were ready to see me. Which you would figure would be... what... maybe 25 minutes tops? No. I sat in that lobby for an hour and a half just waiting for the finance manager to see me to finalize the paperwork. When I finally got in to see him, he hands me the copy of the lease agreement we had, in addition to some other paperwork, and then advises me that the number that we had agreed upon for the lease is not doable now. Now its going to be $50 more per month because of my credit. They told me this despite the fact that they had told me not 2 days prior that everything was set, and the deal was a go. So now I took a day off from work, to drive 25 miles to Huntington, to be told that the agreement we had, was no longer an agreement? After I sat in the car, set up my phone with the Bluetooth and everything. Now its a different price? These people are nothing short of the worst crew of salespeople I have ever met. If I didn't have to work to make a living, I would gladly spend 8 hours a day in front of this dealership telling people my story so they don't waste their time in this sorry excuse for a dealer. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this dealer, and I wouldn't recommend you go either. Please don't. They don't care about you or your time and they certainly shouldn't be allowed to stay open with that business attitude. More
I've been buying/leasing cars for 30 years and out of those 30 years, Huntington Mazda is by far the best dealer I have ever been to. Their knowledge was extraordinary. John DeCandia was amazing. I recently leased a Mazda 3 for my son from Huntington Mazda and I have to say this was by far the easiest and trouble free experience I have ever had in leasing a car. After shopping around and obtaining Mazda and I have to say this was by far the easiest and trouble free experience I have ever had in leasing a car. After shopping around and obtaining pricing from a couple of dealerships, I came across an internet ad for Huntington Mazda on a Saturday morning and began an online discussion with Lindsey Levin. After explaining what I was looking for and what I was willing to pay Lindsey was immediately on the case and confident she could offer me the right deal. The on-line chat was followed up by a couple of phone calls and within an hour or so I had the deal I was looking for. Lindsey was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was enthusiastic, knowledgable and determined to make sure I was satisfied with the overall customer experience at Huntington Mazda. To prove this point one step further, when I went to pick the car up the following weekend, the plates were not ready and my son was not available to come with me, so Lindsey offered to deliver the plates to my house and go over the features of the car with my son. Not only did she come through on this, but she even offered to do this on one of her days off. This certainly sets a new standard for customer service in my book. Product quality and customer service go hand in hand with winning over customers and setting the stage for repeat business. Lindsey Levin and Huntington Mazda seem to understand this concept exceptionally well. More
As soon as I walked into the Huntington Mazda I was approached by Dave Richardson. While he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the model I was looking for, he was in no way pushy. I gave him th approached by Dave Richardson. While he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the model I was looking for, he was in no way pushy. I gave him the number I was looking for and he tried very hard to stay within my comfort zone. On my first visit, the dealer was unable to get me to the number I was looking for but said they may be able to do better in the next month or so. Within a couple of weeks, they called to tell me that they were confident could make a deal. I met with Dave again and was very happy to see that he had detailed notes regarding our earlier discussions so there was no need for any 'he said, she said'. Throughout my experience, Dave was very kind and professional. I would highly recommend both Dave and the HUntington Mazda dealership! More
I worked with John DeCandia on a new CX-9. The experience was very positive compared to other dealers I have dealt with in the past. I have delt with many car dealers in the past and Huntington Mazda by far was the most respectful. As a woman sometimes going into a car dealership can be quite the experience, but John and the team Huntington Mazda by far was the most respectful. As soon as I walked in John come over to help me and was very attentive. I was looking for a 2014 CX-5 Grand Touring. He showed me some cars in the lot and I test drove the 2014 CX-5 Touring around the area very attentive. I was looking for a 2014 CX-5 Grand Touring. He showed me some cars in the lot and I test drove the 2014 CX-5 Touring around the area. He was sure to point out the great turn radius Mazda's have as well as the safety features like the Blind Spot Detection and the Smart City breaks. I decided to lease the car that day and he was very helpful with the paperwork and allowing me to use his phone to call my insurance company to add the vehicle to my policy. He gave me his cell phone number to contact him if I have any problems with the vehicle and was very responsive by calls and texts. I had a question about the car shortly after taking the car home so I sent a text message to John, who responded quickly. I put my phone away during dinner and he checked to see how I was doing during that time. I responded after dinner, a couple hours later, well after the dealership closed for the night, and he still responded to me professionally and politely. This leasing experience was substantially better than my prior purchasing experiences with other dealerships. I would definitely recommend Huntington Mazda to friends in the future. More

Please note that my reviews are of the sales person I worked with, Dave Richardson, and not the dealership. Dave was a fabulous sales person to deal with. He made leasing my Mazda a wonderful experience. worked with, Dave Richardson, and not the dealership. Dave was a fabulous sales person to deal with. He made leasing my Mazda a wonderful experience. You can tell that Dave is a real people person and he truly cares for each customer he comes in contact with. I usually hate car shopping because I always feel the sales person tries to force me into something I am not interested in. Dave did not make me feel that way and actually let me shop on my own without following me to each car!! I would definitely recommend that you go see Dave if you are interested in buying or leasing a Mazda! More
After a horrible experience with Garden City Mazda (also part of the LICAuto family of dealerships) we went to Huntington to get a Mazda3. Our initial run was to get a pre-owned 2012 sedan. When we saw they part of the LICAuto family of dealerships) we went to Huntington to get a Mazda3. Our initial run was to get a pre-owned 2012 sedan. When we saw they had the iTouring hatchback at the price of the used sedan we ALMOST got at GCM, we made a call to Huntington. John got the call. He assisted us and had the info for it within 15 minutes that we needed OVER the phone. We made it to the dealership and started the paperwork to get the car. Next day we had a brand new Mazda3 iT and have been very happy since. John was excellent. He worked hard for us and made it possible for us to get teh car. He pointed out what options we had but also mentioned potential cons considering our situation (I originally wanted leather but he pointed out with small kids the pitfalls of that) and I was inclined to agree with that which made a difference. He wasn't just trying to sell us a car. He was also selling us a good experience. THAT stood out head and shoulders for us. The finance department also dealt straight with us. That made for an over all great experience. I strongly recommend Huntington for a Mazda purchase. Avoid Garden City. Its worth the extra drive. More
