Customer came in to purchase a specific vehicle, which happened to be a "one of a kind" 2010 Nissan Xterra, which was used for a while for the purpose of allowing our customers to test drive this model. This vehicle, subsequently was offered for sale at a deeply discounted price (since it had some mileage that had accumulated as a result of multiple test drives over the period of several months). It so happened that before this customer showede up at our dealership, this very Xterra was sold and delivered on the spot to another customer, who was very happy with Route 22 Nissan and our price and services. Our managers offered to substitute the "test-drive" vehicle with a brand new Xterra at comperable savings in order to accommodate the customer. All that we asked the customer to do is to allow 20 minutes in order for us to have the opportunity to bring a new Nissan Xterra from our storage depot and get it ready for the customer. Customer decided not to wait and felt that our offer of substitution for a new vehicle was unfair. He accused us of being dishonest and stormed out of the showroom using expletives. Very unreasonable customer (if one can even call this individual a customer), who apparently was hurt by another dealer in the past and now is attempting to paint all dealers with the same brush. Route 22 Nissan continiously satisfies all of the customers with best prices and superior services, Unfortunately, there are customers like this one, who can never be satisfied. Thank you.

I see that Route 22 Nissan posted a response (03/26/2011) to my original review posting on 03/23/2011. I appreciate their taking the time to respond to the review posted. However what I would like to do is point out to all car consumers that no matter what dealer you go to it is always a good idea to use the "buddy system". In other words make sure that when you go to a dealer always bring a friend or family member, someone who can be a witness for you. Why do I mention this, because in Route 22's response it is correct about the Xterra not being there however the prep time for a replacement was not 20 minutes it was over an hour as in my original posting. As for me accusing them of being dishonest and storming out of the showroom..that is not correct either. There was no accusing of dishonesty and no storming out, I simply said "no" to waiting for another test vehicle and went on my way. I understand the dealer sees a lot of people and maybe they are getting me confused with another customer on that day. Either way myself and "my buddy" which I had with me know what really happened that day. And just for the record I did purchase a Nissan and "yes" from another dealer who seems to have had no problem with me.

We sell a lot of cars for a little, not a little for a lot. As a result, most cars that we display, don't last too long and get sold right away, as our prices are usually bellow wholesale levels, as compared to other dealers. It appears that this customer was anable to buy a car because he was taking his time deciding and thus missing out on opportunies, as other customers were making decisions a lot quicker than this dilly-dally individual. We take orders over the phone all the time and very often, a vehicle gets sold as soon as it gets listed online. Route 22 Nissan always provides best prices and superior service to their customers. This customer saw one of our vehicles online, which was listed considerably for a lot less than what he/she would pay anywhere else. The customer felt offended that we would not take an offer over the phone for thousands less than our already deeply discounted price online. The customer became indignant over the fact that we wouldn't negotiate over the telephone and became rambunctious. While we remained polite and courteous, this customer started to use expletives and hung up the phone. Oh well, there are rude and obnoxious people everywhere. Route 22 Nissan always provides best prices and superior service to their customers. Thanks.

Customer attempted to offer thousands bellow already deeply discounted price for a vehicle that was advertised at a below wholesale level. We've agreed to work with the customer and discount our vehicle a little more. Apparently, it wasn't enough and the customer stated that because of our advertisment, where we state that we are "negotiable and won't turn away any reasonable offers" we should accept thousands less than what we advertised. Customer became belligerent when we tried to explain that his offer wasn't reasonable, as it was thousand less than the market price. We do not want a customer like this one and consider ourselves very fortunate not to sell a car to a belligerant bafoon, who uses expletives in every sentence. Route 22 Nissan always provides best prices and superior service to their customers. Thanks.
