Being Toyota consumer for years I feel the service quality is going down I have a certified. Who le purchased from a Toyota and went for Annual inspection. There was no waiting to be helped as I was taken care of right away. I did have to wait a while for my car to be finished, as it was a busy Saturday. However, a service technician spent extra time with me after the car was serviced to explain some new features that I had concerns over. More

My Prius is now 10 years old, and I have been bringing it to Huntington Toyota ever since I purchased it. Since it is a hybrid, I want to feel secure in the knowledge that whoever is working on it is compete to Huntington Toyota ever since I purchased it. Since it is a hybrid, I want to feel secure in the knowledge that whoever is working on it is competent to deal with a combination electric/gasoline engine. Over the years, I have come to develop a relationship of trust and integrity in Juan Vargas. He has always taken the time to explain the need for any repairs made to my vehicle, and has always delivered both good and bad news in that regard with the utmost transparency. This time around, I learned the unfortunate news that what I was anticipating having been caused by a blown fuse, was actually the failure of the multi functional display unit in the car. The cost to replace the device was quoted at $7000 for a new one, or about $2100 for a rebuilt one. To say that I was in shock, would be putting it mildly. I told Juan that I would need to take a little time to figure out how to proceed. After doing quite a bit of research about the MFD and what it does on the Internet, I returned to seek Juan's advice, since, given the age of my car, I was unsure that I should keep the car. He patiently batted around the alternatives with me, and in the end, I decided to go forward with the repair. The next step was how in the world I was going to afford this unexpected expense. Once again, Juan rose to the occasion by offering to help me enroll in a special credit card offered by Toyota whereby I could spread the payments out over six months, interest free, so long as they were made in a timely fashion. Lastly, I was provided with a courtesy car for the duration of the repair. Upon notification from Juan that my car was ready for pick up, I was informed that I was to receive a little surprise. When I arrived, the "little" surprise turned out to be that the MFD, which accounted for the major portion of the expense, was comped by Toyota, and that I would just be responsible for the labor charges, which totaled $315. Juan had intervened on my behalf, advising Toyota of my loyalty as a customer, and was able to negotiate what felt like nothing less than a miracle! My personal profile is that I am a single woman who was forced into an unplanned for retirement this past year due to health matters that encompassed two month-long hospitalizations, and a couple of surgeries. My medical expenditures alone had exceeded half of my annual income. Many well-intentioned friends have advised me over the years that servicing your car at the dealership is always more expensive. Hopefully, this account of my experience at Huntington Toyota, and, more specifically, with your remarkable employee, Juan Vargas, illustrates how very erroneous that concept can be.
