Good Experience with Sales Team I recently purchased a Forester from Connor and had a great experience! He was very knowledgeable on the features and specs of the car. I actually had two additional people test drive the car. Since my initial visit to the dealership, Connor has consistently been polite and responsive. He even answers my random texts with questions about the car. I strongly recommend visiting Connor and the dealership for your next Subaru purchase. More
Very dissappointed!!! I bought a car from them on 03/26/16, paperwork went well, very excited to purchase this car, next thing was the sale person (Lou) told me the it woul I bought a car from them on 03/26/16, paperwork went well, very excited to purchase this car, next thing was the sale person (Lou) told me the it would take 2 weeks for her to receive the license plates and as soon as the license plates come in, she would mail them to me as I live in Austin (not Plano). I'm ok with that, then about 2 weeks later on 4/6/16, I received her message to let me know the license plate came in, she would mail it to me and I should receive it in a couple days, I called back to confirm that day, then the next day I received a post card from Subaru of Plano to inform me that the license plate are there and if I would like them to mail to me, please call them, Again, I called them the same day to speak to Lou, she said she already mailed them to me yesterday and I should receive them on Monday..I told her I would wait and I thought I would receive them on Monday, I anxiously checked the mail everyday as I'm very excited about my purchasing this car, but....Monday passed, Tuesday passed, Wednesday passed...then today is Thursday 4/14/16 I still haven't received them yet, I thought maybe they lost in the mail or sent to the wrong address, so I called them, trying to get a hold of her, but she was out, then the lady in the front desk asked for my name so she can check for me if the license plates have been mailed, I waited a little on the phone and the lady comes back to inform me that the license plates are still there and haven't been mailed yet. She told me they will be mailed tomorrow. I was like xxx! So the whole time the sale person (Lou) lied to me, maybe she thought I'm not her customer anymore since I got the car and she got the commission, so she just doesn't care anymore, and I don't understand those managers over there why they don't keep track or question why these license plates are there and whose cars they belong to ...etc...and tell someone to take care of that. What a bad management! If I don't call today, I don't know when I would receive them, seem like nobody even care once they got your money. Now I have to wait ...and wait. Very disappointed customer. More

Unprofessional sales experience I made an appointment to have my current Subaru appraised for trade on another Subaru model I wanted to buy. I appeared on time and my sales person ha I made an appointment to have my current Subaru appraised for trade on another Subaru model I wanted to buy. I appeared on time and my sales person had done nothing I had requested before arriving. 1. Pull the information on the car I was trading as well as the lease payoff. 2. Be sure someone would be available to appraise my new car. When I arrived, the salesman's desk was clean and when I asked him about where we stood on the two things I had requested, he hemmed and hawed. So, I repeated myself and noticed he did not even take notes--not even on the new Subaru I wanted to get. I had to ask him to go get the appraiser. He did, but came back and said he could not find anyone. I was getting a little upset at this point, so I firmly (but nicely) asked him to go look again. He found someone who came over to me and asked me what he could do for me. Obviously my salesman had not clued him in to anything. So, I again repeated myself. After he had appraised the car, I asked the salesman to email me back about the appraisal vs. lease pay-off numbers and what their lease terms would be for the new Subaru I wanted. Again he did not take any notes. After not hearing back from him two business days later, I called him and he did not seem to recognize my name. I reminded him he was to call me with the information I had requested and he said, "uh, okay, let me look into that." At this point, I called the sales manager and explained how this salesman had repeatedly dropped the ball. I was polite but businesslike when talking with him. He again asked me for all my information so he could look into it. I told him the salesman and the appraiser had all my information and that I was not repeating it for a third time. I gave him my phone number and he called me back with no specific information I asked for (about getting out of my current lease or the asking price of the new Subaru), but only quoted a monthly lease payment for a new car--which was beyond outrageous given our 800+ credit score, previous experience with Subaru leasing and the fact the car we wanted to purchase was less expensive than the car we were currently leasing (with similar depreciation rates). I can forgive a young car salesman, but really--the sales manager! Don't think so. And if the attitude and tone he used with me is the way he treats the sales staff, I have to bet Subaru of Plano probably has high turnover rates. I ended up driving out of my way to Huffiness Subaru. They were professional, friendly and I drove off the lot that same day in a new car. More

I am usually a tough customer because I have high expectations of quality. Darrell exceeded our expectations! He anticipated our questions and had very clear and prompt answers. He was very down to earth and friendly, not at all pushy or rushed. He is a go getter, jogging from the showroom to outside. I appreciated that he hustled to get us on the road with our new car. I would highly recommend Darrell!! This was the best car buying experience that I ever had! The dealership was very clean and everyone we met were as polite and professional as Darrell. I will certainly be a return customer and recommend Darrel and Subaru of Plano to my friends and family. More

We were also awaiting our insurance check to be mailed, as our other car was totaled, and the dealership worked with us during this transaction. I was very pleased with our salesperson, Darrell Hair, who did not try to pressure us into another vehicle, or even a new vehicle. He understood what we wanted and made the process of buying a car an actual enjoyable experience. I have bought over 40 vehicle for our previous business from dealerships in various states, and this was the fastest and easiest car purchase that I have made. I will definitely return to this dealership when I am ready to upgrade my vehicle. More
Easy breezy car buying experience I just purchased a new Subaru Forester XT from this dealership on Saturday 1/30. I had previously spoken to Darrell via phone and corresponded through I just purchased a new Subaru Forester XT from this dealership on Saturday 1/30. I had previously spoken to Darrell via phone and corresponded through email about the Subaru Outback. I test drove a Outback at a different dealership the night before, and what a difference! I won't speak ill of the other dealership as nothing was terribly wrong - but at Subaru of Plano they got everything right. From the moment my husband and I walked in we were taken care of. We were offered water or a soda from a couple of different people before we met up with Darrell. When the first salesmen we encountered learned we were there to meet with Darryl, he was not off put or suddenly disinterested - he was still kind and professional making sure we connected with Darrell. All prior discussions with Darrell had been about the outback, but when I decided I preferred the Forester and a particular one on the lot, Darrell quickly got the keys and let us test drive it. We weren't told what route we had to take, how quickly we had to get it back, it was just very smooth and relaxing. Darrell was very knowledgeable about the vehicle but more importantly he took the time to get to know us. He was very friendly and inquisitive and asked all the right questions to see why this car would be the best fit for us. When we decided we liked the XT touring package he didn't immediately try to start warning us about cost and payment, he just said -" let me see what I can do. I'll beat the interest rate you were quoted (and he did) and I'll help you get your payments where you want them (and he did)". The whole experience was quick and easy. We weren't expecting to purchase that day and we were in a hurry to pick up our children for a birthday party. The dealership didn't take any longer than necessary to get the sale done. The finance manager was very kind. We did opt to up the warranty to 80,000 miles since we keep our cars for about 10 years. Being the end of the month I expected to have the employees push that "sense of urgency" on us, but I never felt that. Everything about the dealership I would recommend, it was clean, "pet friendly" great inventory, and most importantly the genuine helpful staff. More
