I needed another car since my last one was hit broadside, rolled, and totaled by a car than ran a red light. I had decided on getting a pre-owned certified car(POC) this time, since a car receives only it's rolled, and totaled by a car than ran a red light. It had been new in 2011 when I purchased it, so the value took a huge depreciation hit. And I was furious with the insurance system, and really angry that I was car shopping again so soon. I had looked at other POC Outbacks and Foresters at two other dealers in the Seacoast area, plus had been comparing on line. I wandered in to Exeter Subaru to see what they had that met my needs. Eric walked over and said hi, and we talked briefly about what I was after. He took me right out and showed me what was available. Eric is pleasant, knowledgeable, quiet-ish, and helpful with none of the "dazzle-dazzle" routine that one so often finds when car shopping. I thanked him and headed home. I came back to drive what we had looked at, and did. Thanked Eric again and went home. I felt pretty sure about which car I wanted and set up a time to come back and buy the car. When I returned I discovered that I could buy a 2014, with 2 or 3 extras that I wanted, and actually pay less than the pre-owned certified car I liked. So we took out a 2014 and I liked the way it felt, it handled well, and I was flabbergasted at the nice turn of events. Exeter Subaru did not have the color I wanted ( Venetian red- high visibility so hopefully no one else would smash into me) and they were able to get it from another dealer in two days. Another test drive and it was a done deal. Eric, Josh, Greg doing the paperwork, and even Dan M. who gave me the preflight and full inspection (Eric's day off) before I drove it home were all wonderful to work with and very very helpful. I will have the car serviced there as well, since they have earned my trust. I will also recommend Exeter Subaru to all my friends and even strangers searching for a Subaru. They were that good.
