I recently decided it was time for change from my 2007 Mini Cooper S. I loved the car but I needed more space. I narrowed down my choices to two different small sedans, one of them being the 2013 Impreza. Mini Cooper S. I loved the car but I needed more space. I narrowed down my choices to two different small sedans, one of them being the 2013 Impreza. My first experience at Exeter Subaru was with Eric Pokorski. I stopped by randomly one night on my way to the grocery store just to look at the Imprezas up close. Eric was great. He came out and talked about the car with me. He wasn't pushy and had nothing negative to say about the other brand I told him I was looking at. He opened up a few different imprezas (Hatchback, Sedan, and the Sport) so my girlfriend and I could view all of them. He answered all my questions knowledgably and gave me his card before I left. The following weekend I test drove the other sedan I was thinking about (I am going to leave out the name because my experience with the company wasn't the greatest and I am not one to bash people from behind a keyboard). The sales person I spoke with wasn't knowledgeable at all. I asked if the car came in a manual transmission and he said he did not know and would have to check. We drove the vehicle and he directed me where to go. He made me drive in heavy traffic. I got no feel for the car and the short 5 minute test drive was spent stuck behind a line of cars. The whole process of talking about/test driving the car and sitting down to figure out what financials of the car would look like took about an hour and fifteen minutes. Also when I told the salesman I was interested in Subaru as well he began bashing their product. I hate when people do this. He had more negative things to say about other cars/dealerships than good things to say about the car we were test driving. After that not so pleasant experience I returned to Exeter Subaru. I was greeted by Dan Maynes who told me Eric was not in but he would be happy to take me for a test drive. We looked at the different models and decided I wanted to take the Sport model for a drive. Dan directed me on a nice cruise where we were able to drive on the highway as well some back roads. I was able to get a great feel for the car. We then went inside to discuss financials and I quickly had my trade in appraised and a piece of paper in front of me showing me what my options were. The entire process took about forty five minutes. They were much quicker than the other dealer (who didn't even appraise my trade in). I took the financials home to think it over. After test driving and dealing with the people at Exeter Subaru I knew I wanted a Subaru and I knew if I was going to buy one I wanted to do my business with them. The only things I had to think about were financials as well as model/color. I decided I wanted to buy and returned a couple days later. They did not have the combination of Model/Color/Transmission I wanted in stock so they set out to find one for me. We went over financials, started paperwork, and I put down my deposit. This was all on a Friday so they began the search the following Monday and secured the car Monday afternoon. It was trucked to the dealership Tuesday afternoon, and was mine by Wednesday. The process was very smooth and hassle free. Throughout the process I dealt with multiple people at the dealership and they were all wonderful. I give them scores of 5's/Great across the board because I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are interested in a Subaru I highly suggest you go to Exeter Subaru. If you are like me and want this process to be quick and easy, you wont be disappointed. More
I arrived at Exeter Subaru to look at a Ford Escape and a salesman walked out right away to assist in any way he could. Got the keys for a test drive and away we went. I could only afford so much a month on salesman walked out right away to assist in any way he could. Got the keys for a test drive and away we went. I could only afford so much a month on a vehicle and I felt my salesman and the finance guy went above and beyond to help me walk away with that car with a payment I could afford. They were so nice and helpful through everything. I had a great experience there even though I wasn't buying a Subaru. More
My husband and I drove about 35 miles to visit Exeter Subaru because they had such a good reputation. Their reputation was well deserved. We came in to look at used Subaru Outbacks and Foresters. Tim Subaru because they had such a good reputation. Their reputation was well deserved. We came in to look at used Subaru Outbacks and Foresters. Tim Hartford helped us to find several vehicles that fit our needs and price range, and was very respectful and friendly throughout the whole process. We had visited many other dealerships in our search, and were very discouraged by the many pushy salespeople who tried to push us into buying a vehicle we really weren't interested in. Tim allowed us time and space to look around, and was very helpful in answering our questions. We have owned several Subaru's in the past, and knew what we were looking for, but Tim was good about explaining the additions and modifications that have been made to the newer models. Exeter Subaru also had a good sized inventory of pre-owned vehicles from which to chose. We would definitely come back here again. More

We're long-time Subaru owners and recently purchased our third new Subaru. However, this was our first experience with Exeter Subaru and we couldn't be more pleased! John Webster was our product speci our third new Subaru. However, this was our first experience with Exeter Subaru and we couldn't be more pleased! John Webster was our product specialist. He was courteous, straightforward, and highly professional-- as was everyone at the dealership with whom we dealt. No hand-waving or high-pressure sales pitch! I never thought that I'd say this, but buying a vehicle from Exeter Subaru was actually a PLEASANT experience. And, to top it off, Exeter Subaru offered the best price for what we wanted. (We had looked around a lot!) I recommend Exeter Subaru without reservation. More
I decided to check out a vehicle I saw online while I was nearby one afternoon. To my surprise this was not a typical dealership and sales folk. I learned the new/modern term is "product specialists". I w nearby one afternoon. To my surprise this was not a typical dealership and sales folk. I learned the new/modern term is "product specialists". I wasn't so much shopping as I was scoping out something I had researched and possibly been prepared to purchase if the "deal" was right! I was greeted by Tim who was a positive and relaxed person to work with. His easy going personality made me feel at ease-- not the tense experience where you feel you need to go in with your guard up. Once I decided to purchase I met more of the Exeter Subaru Staff which were also friendly and fabulous to work with. Overall experience was positive and painless. I will say they are very busy and selling cars like hot cakes. And honestly I can see why-- great vehicles and staff to work with-- not your old stuffy sales guy! I would recommend anyone interested in buying a Subaru to check them out. More
The dealer did a nice job, everyone was friendly. I found the car I wanted but I had to work the price down after being told that wasn't likely. My experience with Exeter Subaru was very positive. All of the people were friendly and accommodating. Their facility is clean and comfortable. John Webster was excellent in explaining thoroughly all the of the people were friendly and accommodating. Their facility is clean and comfortable. John Webster was excellent in explaining thoroughly all the components of the Subaru Outback I was purchasing. He went over it three different times as I went out in two different cars on different days. He also went over the engine components explaining and pointing out each one. My only disappointment was the final price which was higher than I really expected to spend. Helen Hoffman* More

Overall, very good service and John was great to deal with. As far as the 3 on the pricing instead of the 5, the price of the car was very good, but the financing terms seemed a little troublesome. I w with. As far as the 3 on the pricing instead of the 5, the price of the car was very good, but the financing terms seemed a little troublesome. I work in Finance myself, so when looking at cars Ocean Subaru was a lot more upfront on the financing terms and let you know what the best terms that they would be able to offer. At Exeter, I almost walked out because the original terms presented to me where much less favorable and after only inquiring was the better terms offered. More
