I went into Exeter Subaru looking for a reasonably priced used car. I let Tim Hartford know I was interested in getting a used car. After shopping around several other dealers for other makes of cars and finally deciding that a subaru was the one i wanted the first thing i noticed was the difference in the sales people at exeter suba makes of cars and finally deciding that a subaru was the one i wanted the first thing i noticed was the difference in the sales people at exeter subaru compared to other places. Extremely friendly, laid back, no pressure to buy. From my first visit there to ordering my car and eventually picking it up it was a near perfect experience. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. Most new-car dealers don't enjoy or spend a lot of time on entry-level used cars (i.e. < $5000), but Exeter Subaru actually has a pretty good selection in their small lot. More importantly, Karissa spent as much time with me and my small purchase as I would expect with a much more lucrative new car. They had no problem accommodating my request to have a car checked out by a mechanic, and Karissa even stayed late when the check went past normal closing time. More
Did a lot of searching online through used car inventories, found something on the dealers website of interest. Went in to test drive and ended up making the purchase the same day. The vehicle had some minor issues which the body shop took care of asap without question and i feel confident with the service i receive from both the body shop and my salesman. I have to say it was a great experience. Some places it is like being attacked when you hit the lot. This was great, I got to stroll around and look at all the cars gathering information. Then as soon as I was ready walked in the door and was greeted by Scott Very friendly and despite not having the Premium Crosstrek I wanted and none in transit was willing to go for a drive in the only automatic within 50 miles of me to try. It was a limited more than I wanted to spend. Nice cars. So then we chatted and they were willing to see if any of the sister places were willing to trade the one they had for the one I wanted in silver or red. Then the $$$ conversation was the least stressed I have ever had with Bill. Jim did an awesome job explaining "extended warrantees etc". Scott went over everything I needed to drive the car though I still had to read through the book. I was going from a roll up windows, unlock the door with a key truck to vehicle with way more buttons than I was use too. But extremely easy to learn. Great dealership, laid back, no pressure and silly talk for the last $100. I would send everyone there. More
