Exceeds Expectations (Even When I Arrived on Wrong Day!) I have a long history with Exeter Subaru, both before and after their big renovation. The service advisors are so knowledgeable that I think they do double duty as mechanics. If my car has an unexpected and expensive defect, the agents discuss options with me. They often talk about the mechanics in a friendly family way that lets me know they are all valued as people and technicians. (“Our guy ‘Einstein’ took a look and knew exactly what was going on.” “Our technician has a Forester the same year as you and also wants to keep it running forever.”) Whatever my final bill, I always leave Exeter Subaru having had a few good laughs and knowing they care about me AND my car. I could have sworn I had a follow-up appointment at Exeter Subaru on April 3, 2019. It had been scheduled to replace a part on the rear hatch of my 2005 Forester so it would pass inspection. As usual, I had brought along a good book and was looking forward to some quiet "me time" waiting in the spacious waiting room with its awesome coffee maker (which is always well stocked with creamers AND my favorite variety of coffee), a goodies basket (also well stocked with items I never even knew existed like a bag of tiny blueberry muffins), comfy chairs with lots of personal space between them, free wi-fi, a separate "working waiting room" with ample surface area and outlets for devices, a TV larger than any apartment I had lived in, and a reliably clean ladies room. So upon learning my appointment was scheduled 3 days AFTER my arrival, I was embarrassed, but more disappointed that I would miss out on my anticipated waiting room experience. And I did not want to have to come back again on another day and change my schedule. To my amazement, service advisor Josh assured me it might not have been my mistake and he would try to fit me in anyway. I was so relieved and appreciative. I probably inconvenienced the schedule of the service crew and also extended my waiting time. But I am truly thankful that I can rely on Exeter Subaru for friendly service, even on the wrong day. (Sadly, there were no blueberry mini-muffins, but still …) More

Great Service Experience Recently had my 2016 Impreza checked out just before the warranty expired. I literally made the appointment for the last day of the warranty period. Recently had my 2016 Impreza checked out just before the warranty expired. I literally made the appointment for the last day of the warranty period. Spoke with Amy on the phone to set up the appointment, who worked diligently to get me squeezed in. And when I arrived it was Josh behind the service counter who took care of things. The car was checked out by a mechanic who obviously knew his business. As it turned out, everything was good. I'm glad for the peace of mind, and I greatly appreciate the courtesy and professionalism of the service crew. The waiting area ain't bad either. More

Travis Clement was particularly excellent - very knowledgeable, professional and responsive. He did an excellent job helping me whittle down my options until I was able to determine the perfect match. They did not originally have the car I wanted in stock, but were able to access if from incoming inventory earmarked for another dealer. They were fair with negotiations and delivered what they promised. Jen was always responsive on the phone and Dan filled in admirably on the day that Travis was off. Major kudos also to Eileen Barry, who is a whiz with the paperwork and administrative side of the transaction. Final shout out to Hannah Fowler who spent time with me explaining the features of a Forester and demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the vehicle. More
