I would hope that the trade offer doesn’t make the experience horrible. We utilize a few different sources to come up with trade values not one. Since you were so upset with the number I decided to reach out to some Honda dealers I know. The values they gave me were $12300 and $12600. We weren’t that far away. My service department followed the guidelines provided by Subaru. These procedures have to be completed before a diagnosis can be made. They are customer pay until it is determined to be warranty, then there is no charge to the customer. I apologize if it wasn’t explained that way but they did follow the guidelines. Sorry to hear about your damaged filter box. It is hard to understand how anything like this would have slipped through my service department. We change all of the filters in every used car before it is put on the lot. Without knowing anything about the vehicle it is hard to help. Since most air filter boxes are held on with clips it doesn’t seem possible that duct tape would last a year. Please give me a call so I better understand the situation. Regards Darren Coute, GM
