The sale negotiations were very short and to the point not a lot of games you often get with dealers. The price was very good as well, on the lower end of the KBB value. If you have any interest in an extended warranty do not buy their aftermarket warranty that they will try to push on you, go with the Subaru Gold Plus plan. I recently revisited Exeter Subaru to give them another shot after having bad experience with them a number of years ago and things are still the same they are predatory and feed on peoples lack of knowledge and options. If you go in for a trade in assessment set a time limit or they will keep you there forever. If you're dealing with service get prices from other dealerships they are expensive and will charge you as much as they can get. More

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE. More

Brought in a 2015 Forester with 37,000 miles with a CVT automatic transmission that was locking up(Subaru has extended the coverage on these because of all the issues they are having with them) and this dealership wanted to charge me $72.50 to diagnose the problem...then they called me and told me they would have to service the transmission for a cost of $225 before they could tell me if this would be covered under Subaru warranty. I said no thanks and took it to another Subaru dealer in Somersworth NH and they fixed it at NO CHARGE under the factory warranty. This is the second time this has happened with Exeter Subaru and I will never be back. More

I then went inside and asked for help- told them I wanted to test drive and was ready to make a purchase, A man sitting behind the desk said it would be a little while until someone could help me. Never introduced himself, never stood up, or offered me a chair or coffee. I waited inside the showroom 35 more min and no one so much as even asked me why I was there. Finally, I just walked out, and went down the street to Honda Barn, who were actually quite helpful. I wonder if I would have had the same experience if my husband had been with me? More

What kind of service center sells a car with a duct taped aur filter box....very tacky! More
