We worked out a great deal and I turned in my old lease and established a new lease for a car that I just loved. Extremely helpful, and a fun transaction. I can’t imagine having a better transaction. This is a great Dealership, staffed by top-notch professionals. Go buy a car from them; have your service work done here, buy your Genuine Toyota Parts here; can’t go wrong. More
⭐☆☆☆☆ One star — avoid this service department. I’m leaving this review so other people don’t learn this lesson the hard way: do not take your vehicle to Tasca Toyota Boston Service if you care I’m leaving this review so other people don’t learn this lesson the hard way: do not take your vehicle to Tasca Toyota Boston Service if you care about honest estimates and fair billing. I brought my 2011 Toyota 4Runner in for a failed alternator. Their first estimate claimed it would take 5 hours of labor at $214/hour to replace an alternator. That’s not a “small mistake”—that’s a wildly inflated number for a job that should be around 1.5–2 hours. I challenged it (I’ve owned two 4Runners for 15 years) and only then did they reduce the labor to 2 hours. That tells you everything: if you don’t push back, you get overcharged. Then I looked at the final invoice (#420466, 2/13/26) and found they installed a remanufactured alternator (invoice shows REMAN 27060-31190-84) but charged me $495 for it. The next business day I went straight to Tasca’s Parts Department and asked the price. I was told the reman alternator price is $377 (new is $504, plus $75 core). So why was I billed $495 for reman? That’s near-new pricing for a reman part. It gets worse: I contacted Toyota USA and was told Tasca said they called me and offered a $200 service credit. I received no call and no offer from the service department. And even if they had offered it, a “service credit” is just a way to keep you tied to a place you shouldn’t trust. I want my money refunded, not store credit. I will not bring my vehicle back there. This wasn’t one error. It was a pattern: • Inflated labor estimate until challenged • Questionable parts pricing on a reman part • Inaccurate communication reported to Toyota USA A Toyota dealership should be the place that “gets it right the first time.” This one doesn’t. If you value your time and your wallet, take your vehicle somewhere else. More
