I had an excellent experience at Fairfield Subaru buying a new 2026 Subaru in March 2026. From start to finish, every interaction I had was professional, sincere, upfront, and without sleazy pressure (a wel a new 2026 Subaru in March 2026. From start to finish, every interaction I had was professional, sincere, upfront, and without sleazy pressure (a welcome change from many of the interactions I had with sales staff at other dealers as I was deciding which brand and model best fit my needs). As I'm a bit far from the dealership, most of my interactions were by phone and email. Once we had settled on a price (better than any other I was offered locally), everything on the day of sale was handled in the same manner, including picking me up at the nearby transportation hub. In particular, I'd like to thank my salesperson Kyler Schawb. Great job, Fairfield! More
Check Engine light came on as I was passing this dealership so I left it with them. They first told me it was an 02 A/F sensor and would be covered under warranty. Then they came back the next day dealership so I left it with them. They first told me it was an 02 A/F sensor and would be covered under warranty. Then they came back the next day and said the sensor failed because of an oil leak and wouldn't be covered and the cost to fix the leak would be $5,700!! and then told me over the phone to "help me out and get me going again, he could give $2,000 off" so $3,700!!! I could see no evidence of an oil leak from the pictures provided then or since I took it home and inspected it more closely. My Subaru has only 50K miles on it!!!! (Who gives $2,000 "off"??). They then said if I wanted to change the sensor only it would be $744, but I'd have to pay for it. I got a sensor on Amazon for $50 and changed it myself in less than an hour. If this doesn't sound like a total scam, I don't know what is. Never going there again. More
