Went in with a battery that had the symptoms of a dropped cell. Battery was confirmed bad, but the battery was originally replaced under the bumper to bumper warranty. I was unaware that the new battery didn't fall under replacement purposes if outside of the bumper to bumper warranty. Had I purchased the replacement outright it would have been warrantied under the manufacturer for the life of the battery. After sensing my wife's frustration at the dealership, the service provider took it up on themselves to cover the cost of the labor to install the battery while we covered the cost of the new battery, when I told them just to sell us a battery and I would install it myself.
