Daniel and the service department did a great job of taking care of a long list of services that were needed on our car. Our car runs great. Kelvin was great, staying in constant contact with me at all times. The truck was beautiful and clean, and he probably spent a half hour showing me the nuances of the Escalade. The dealership is awesome wit all times. The truck was beautiful and clean, and he probably spent a half hour showing me the nuances of the Escalade. The dealership is awesome with plenty of vehicles to choose from (far more than they had in Salt Lake City). Now for the reason the perfect 10 at that point slid to a 5. I did the financing up front myself with my credit union in Utah, one that Findlay deals with locally. I brought the cashier's check for the balance about 117k. I also had Findlay agree to buy my 21 Denali for $46,500 after sending video of an immaculate truck, including a close-up of the only flaw, a cracked info screen. After the 6-hour drive, the games began with the used car manager setting down with papers to sign for $45,500. Why the $1k I asked? Cracked info screen he responded. Then I showed him the pictures explaining the screen I had sent. Afterwhile, they reappeared with $46,500 papers. After much further wait, they said they had to pull my credit again, even though I had brought payment in full for the Escalade. My score typically runs 835-850, so I didn't appreciate another inquiry. Finally the F&I closing the paperwork gets a 1. A dragged-out experience where I was handed a paper to accept the check now for my Denali (which I brought a clean title for) I checked the box for accept check now, then he informed me I had to check the box allow 2 to 5 days for my check. Are you kidding me? I bring them a total of about $127k, working on the deal with Kelvin for about 3 days arranging the pick-up, confirming the deal with the bank etc. and F&I a**hat's excuse was his check needed 2 signatures! If the deal had been done locally, I would have walked, but 400 miles was too far! I kept getting hounded for a review ever since I bought it and kept telling them it would be as soon as I got my check. Ten days later it arrived in the mail. We usually receive mail from our family in Vegas in 1 to 2 days. Finally, Findlay Cadillac's bright spot, Kelvin spent plenty of time showing me the operations of that beautiful truck. I buy 2 to 3 vehicles a year for personal and business use, and I've never had to spend 4 hours to buy a vehicle especially when I've handled the financing in advance! "F" Findlay, for your report card...especially used car manager's antics and F&I clown. More
We’ve been doing business with Findlay Cadillac for many years and there was never a time when the experience was not exceptional. Then when the salesman figured he wasn't making big bucks on the sale, he hands me off to someone else. Then they say the car will be ready next day. I waited at home made several calls and text messages to the dealership and no response. 5pm the salesman called it won't be ready for pickup for two more days after I waisted an entire day waiting. On top of everything bait and switch is alive at Findlay Cadillac. You walk into finance manager office everything is label Cadillac. He offers an extended warranty for $3000 never mentioning it's not with Cadillac. When I got home i looked at the broucher he reluctantly gave me. To find out he sold me a extended warranty by fly by night company, who has reputation for not paying claims. Luckily I haven't taken possession of the car and I won't. More
I’ve bought a lot of cars through the years and can honestly say that this dealership is truly top-notch. The entire store had a kind and welcoming attitude. Service Department has not yet gained my full confidence. Took it in for service and the car wound up sitting there for 3 weeks before they were able to work on my car. No rental car was provided. Lots of inconvenience to me, the customer. Omar, from the service department, did his best and frankly was the only glue that kept it together for me. But between Cadillac service and the extended insurance warranty I purchased from them - it was overall a horrible experience. Everything was 24-48 hours. I dropped off the car on a Friday - Findlay Cadillac policy, 24-48 hours before they would even look at your car - and believe me they took the 48 hour route. Car was not looked at until Monday. Then extended warranty folks - another 24-48 hours. Again, they took the 48 hours to inspect the vehicle. Don’t ever get extended warranty from First Automotive. For my policy, $30 a day for rental car that they would cover based on the number of days of actual work on the car which was about 2.5 days so they would only reimburse me about $60. Don’t make the mistake thinking that they would cover you from the time you drop off the car to the time you collect your car. I let Findlay Cadillac know from the onset that THAT is the only car we have. Findlay Cadillac could not provide me a rental car, because of the following reasons - given on different days: 1-They did not have any. 2-They couldn’t give me a rental car because it would be a liability because there was no approved work order. 3-When they finally could give me a rental car I was told that I would get my car back in a day or two. The hassle of being picked up in North Las Vegas to go to Findlay Cadillac in Henderson and then go to Enterprise to pick up the rental car. It’s too much inconvenience and also doesn’t make sense if I’m getting my car back in less than 2 days. I had already been without a vehicle for 3 weeks so did another day really matter? Also, there was the issue of my cracked screen. It’s a spider crack - and upon research online discovered that although there was no recall - there were numerous issues with this model. Extreme heat (which we have here in Vegas in the summer reaching triple digits) - and then a/c causes those spider cracks to happen. I even found an article that GM was sued for those spider crack issues. When the service rep presented it to the warranty company, the company claimed that the spider crack was caused by impact so therefore they would not cover it. Cadillac let me know that the vehicle did not have a recall for this issue so therefore their policy states that they would not fix it. So no one wants to fix it - and the cost to repair out of pocket I was quoted is at about $2500. In the meantime, I have a screen that is no longer functioning - as it is a touch screen - and is stuck on the startup screen and no matter how much I press “OK” - well, it’s not responding anymore to the touch. Also, the service tech changed oil, rotated tire, changed filters which is also covered by the service maintenance warranty I paid for through Findlay Cadillac… that I was pleased because there were no issues on that. However, the service tech neglected to reset the screen notifications. It still says that oil is at 5% level and that service is required. Air gauge on four tires is not even and I have to check if the air is even at the right level. Was told by the service rep to bring the car in and that they would reset it for me - but I’m in North Las Vegas and they’re in Henderson - it’s not a convenient trip to make and I am afraid they will ask me to leave the car again. The rep - did the best he could to keep me happy. But honestly, they had the car for 3 weeks. They gave it back to me like this - and it makes you question whether the work was really done or not. I dunno about their service department, really. I know my confidence has not yet been earned. More
