Service advisor stated the exchange process of two broken cross bars for new cross bars would take 15 to 20 minutes in order to document and take photos of broken utility cross bars. The replacement cross bars were not to be installed on vehicle but placed in the trunk. The vehicle was taken to the service bay. The vehicle remained there for 1 hour and only after questioning what was taking so long was I told they were also doing a multipoint inspection. I told Grant we did not ask for a multipoint inspection. The invoice stated that a “multipoint inspection was performed at owners’ request,”which is a lie. This was not true and the inspection caused an unnecessary delay, which caused us to miss an appointment. Part of my concern is that the invoice was incorrect and now do I have to worry about unnecessary repairs being done to my vehicle in order to make money? More
I brought my 2011 Hyundai Genesis in for a brake job which have been previously scheduled. The dealership price was very competitive with that of private mechanics. Usually “good time” and buying a new car don’t go together in the same sentence in my experience. But this has been the exception. Chris, the sales rep, and Kyle in Finance were absolutely wonderful! together in the same sentence in my experience. But this has been the exception. The above and beyond customer service continued even after the deal was made. Chris took us around the dealership introducing us to the staff in the service department and explained the process for bringing our new “baby” in for covered service and maintenance. What we really appreciated was the wonderful tutoring session he gave us on how to operate this car with all the innovations these new cars come with. So our brains wouldn’t explode, he covered all the basics and then extended an open invitation to come back for further help and assistance if we need it on the myriad bells and whistles of this phenomenon of engineering.
