Negligent service dept ruined our car Bottom line: Stay away from any dealership associated with Findlay. My wife and I purchased a 2015 Kia Certified vehicle from Findlay Kia, and 3 da Bottom line: Stay away from any dealership associated with Findlay. My wife and I purchased a 2015 Kia Certified vehicle from Findlay Kia, and 3 days later it wouldn't run. It had to be towed from our driveway. A week later, after daily attempts to reach Mark Olson (Sales Manager), and 3 attempts to contact the Finance Manager, we finally received an answer - Findlay doesn't do returns for any reason. It turns out that Findlay Kia's Service Dept had put over 13 quarts of oil in it (when the maximum that should be put in is 6 quarts). They had also serviced the motor mounts before we purchased the car, but they did not secure them afterwards. The engine was essentially sitting loose under the hood. The oil overage fatally damaged the engine. Fortunately, Kia Corporate upheld the warranty since it was a certified vehicle. They covered the cost of replacing the engine, the catalytic converter, and oil control valve. We don't live in Las Vegas, and we are glad that the repairs were completed by a different Kia dealership's service dept that is not affiliated with Findlay. Findlay's negligence put our family's safety at risk (the engine could have exploded), and we didn't feel like they took any ownership or expressed concern for what had happened. Their lack of responsiveness and concern was frustrating. No complaints about the salesperson we worked with. He was great. Our issue was with the service dept and the management staff. My extended family has had less-so, but nonetheless negative experiences at other Findlay dealerships. Simply put, I recommend staying away from any dealership associated with Findlay. More

Findlay Kia in Vegas has been very lax in resolving this problem, returning calls or keeping us informed. Another Kia dealer found new motor mounts were not bolted securely. Engine runs very rough and blackens spark plugs. Still not resolved! I value the Kia brand, but after TWO bad experiences with Findlay St. George and this one in Vegas, I do not trust Findlay Kia to provide timely service and be accountable or concerned about the expense or stress their behavior causes.
