They had bad reviews, so I tried Tuscon and other dealerships first but I live near Prescott..hoped it would be convenient.. I regret this choice now.. Their sales person was nice..until there was a slight amount of opposition from my question.. He apologized.. The next day.. But I saw his other side.. Two weeks after purchasing car.. I was sitting by the side of road..just now..on way to friends Super Bowl evening... The back window literally EXPLODED.. Broke into a zillion pieces.. There was nothing in the back seat..and no one on road.. I feel it was a manufacturers flaw.. Windows can break if installed with a small flaw.. Well, I called the Prescott Subaru Manager, Chris.. He was IMMEDIATELY. Rude, condescending and dismissive.. He told me it was my fault and I should go to my Insuranse company.. He went on to re-iterate that "thousands of cars have never had this happen..therefore it is a rock or something..I am not fixing it! Go to your Insuranse co" He is a rude non professional mean person..not a good customer service manager.. I am not sure how to deal with this broken window yet..it's Sunday.. If you are buying a car..avoid Chris or go somewhere else.. If he runs the place, everyone under him follows suit.. More
The sales personnel were too pushy I contacted the dealership on line requesting information about price and availability of a specific car. Someone called me back promptly and gave me I contacted the dealership on line requesting information about price and availability of a specific car. Someone called me back promptly and gave me the information, which was great. However, he asked me if/when I might come by to see the vehicle and I declined to make a commitment, but indicated that I might come by in the next few days. After that I received no fewer than 4-5 calls from this guy and others, pressuring me to make a commitment to either come in or buy the car. I did not appreciate the pushiness and hard sell approach and disengaged with this dealership in order to escape their tactics. I do not operate this way. If I am going to buy a car, I make the decision to pursue it if and when I want to. The high pressure approach put me off and I ultimately made contact with Tucson Subaru where I had a wonderful experience and purchased a car within days of my experience with Tim's Subaru. Although I will ultimately utilize this dealership for service, I would feel much more comfortable if I could deal with the Tucson group. More
I sent an offer to Tim's Subaru through the Subaru website. The offer was linked to a particular stock # and was accepted on the 29th of the month. I had to complete the transaction by the next day in website. The offer was linked to a particular stock # and was accepted on the 29th of the month. I had to complete the transaction by the next day in order to get it on the books for the month. I called before driving 90 minutes to the dealer just to verify the final price and get clarity on a couple of questions. That is when the sales person said "you wanted a base model right?" I said "no, my offer was for a Premium". The response was "that car was sold a couple of weeks ago and the price will be $2k higher for the one you want. Classic bait and switch. The staff seemed friendly enough but the sales tactics are underhanded at best. You may have a good experience there but buyer beware, they are not above bait and switch tactics. More
My experience with Dennis was great in every way. I started my search for a new vehicle on-line and Dennis's response was quick, professional, and honest. After arriving at the dealership, Dennis was started my search for a new vehicle on-line and Dennis's response was quick, professional, and honest. After arriving at the dealership, Dennis was courteous and knowledgeable. I left with the vehicle that I had been searching for at the price that I wanted. I highly recommend that you contact Dennis if you are in the market for a new vehicle. The total time that I spend at the dealership including a test drive, price negotiations, financing, and taking delivery of the vehicle was 4 1/2 hours. My thanks go out to Dennis and all those involved with my purchase. Thanks! Sue Neimy More
