The service at First Texas Honda continues to improve each time I take my 2019 CRV in. Today's visit for an A1 service at 30,000 miles, was for an oil change and tire rotation. My whole car was inspect each time I take my 2019 CRV in. Today's visit for an A1 service at 30,000 miles, was for an oil change and tire rotation. My whole car was inspected; I received a picture of my tires with the tread ratings and a video showing a leaking valve and information that my coolant fluid was due for a replacement. I authorized both services and left with my car totally up to date for services. I was fully informed at all steps, both by text and personal consultation. The service could not have been better. After years of wonderful experiences, I confidently recommended my son go to my trusted Honda dealership to buy his first car and it’s been one disaster after another. The car was sold to us with a def recommended my son go to my trusted Honda dealership to buy his first car and it’s been one disaster after another. The car was sold to us with a defective speaker and (we found out much later) no spare tire. We agreed to split the repair cost of the speaker but when we went to pick up the car, the entire right half of the rear bumper was hanging off. It had apparently gotten caught on the car wash? The service manager to whom the issue was escalated (Brent Williams) was lovely and accommodating and got the car repaired at no cost. But the repair didn’t hold and we had to take the car back in. Brent was great again and I wouldn’t be writing this review if that were the end of it. But after my son had to change two flat tires at the side of the road (thus discovering the lack of a spare), he took the car in for a balance and alignment. They sold him another new tire and did the mounting, balance and alignment for $800. When we picked up the car, the low tire pressure light was on. They told us it’d go off if we drove the car above 25 MPH for over 2 minutes, but it didn’t. Additionally, the car handled worse than it had when we brought it in. We took it back and were told it would be $1100 to fix whatever it is that happened when they did the alignment. I’ve written Brent hoping he will again be able to take care of whatever damage the service department has done. If not, I’ll be filing a complaint with the BBB. Even if we do get this latest fiasco resolved, we’ll be taking my son’s car elsewhere for repairs in the future and I wouldn’t recommend buying a used car with First Texas Honda to anyone. More

My experience with First Texas Honda has been nothing short of a headache. Sure the facilities are clean and well kept and it is a well known dealership, but the sales team that I encountered left a sour short of a headache. Sure the facilities are clean and well kept and it is a well known dealership, but the sales team that I encountered left a sour taste in my mouth. I found a used vehicle with low miles that I was interested in, so I came in for a test drive. Only 3 minutes into the test drive the A/C stopped blowing cold air. I mentioned this to my assigned salesperson, Brandon Lukenbill, and he informed me that he knew about the issue and so did the service team, but that they had not gotten around to diagnosing or repairing the issue. That was red flag number one. I decided to give Brandon and FTH the benefit of the doubt that it had not been serviced yet since it was a new listing and asked for the price breakdown of the vehicle. The next day I reached out to Brandon to see if a diagnosis had been made and he told me no, but that I could expedite the process by putting down a $500 deposit; this was red flag number 2. I let him know that I did not feel comfortable putting a deposit down on a vehicle with an undiagnosed issue -- especially an A/C issue in Texas with summer right around the corner. Throughout this whole process Brandon was vague in his responses to my questions about the repairs and possible warranty coverage of any said repairs (said repairs being just a fluid top off and recharge of the system; not a full fix of the issue); red flag number 3. With the way Brandon responded to my concerns it worried me that there were others issues with the car that he was not telling me just for a quick sale. After a whole lot of back and forth I realized that the car wasn't worth the headache and the probable repair that would be put on my plate in the middle of the summer instead of a quick fix at the dealership before purchasing the car. I let Brandon know that I was no longer interested and was taking my business somewhere else. A couple of peaceful days go by and I received an unwarranted text from the sales manager, Tyler, asking if I needed "reassurance" on the A/C repair to move forward with the purchase after I had clearly stated I did not want to give FTH my money (red flag #4). Tyler continued to explain to me how an A/C works and doubled down on the fact that they added enough coolant to the system that the issue wasn't being triggered anymore (obviously a temporary fix to get me to buy the car); red flag number 5, if you were counting. The sales team that I encountered are clearly only concerned with selling vehicles under any means necessary, and not about client satisfaction, unlike the Subaru dealership down the road. If you want to be patronized and upsold on a damaged car then First Texas Honda is your place! More

Drove in for minor repair on a Thursday but they were 24-48 hrs behind schedule and could not do the diagnosis until Monday morning. But they were able deliver the fully repaired car by Monday afternoon. 24-48 hrs behind schedule and could not do the diagnosis until Monday morning. Day after I signed the financing contract I noticed the additional charge I didn’t agree to. The Finance Manager who put together the paperwork apologized and said he would definitely get that charge removed within two months. It’s been four months now and I’m still paying interest on their mistake. I see other similar complaints about this dealership on other sites also. I recommend avoiding them to be safe. More
