I stopped in almost a month ago with my son because we wanted to test drive a 2023 Pilot and 2023 CR-V. We were on the hunt to replace my recently totaled 2018 CR-V that I bought from Cole at Fisher in De wanted to test drive a 2023 Pilot and 2023 CR-V. We were on the hunt to replace my recently totaled 2018 CR-V that I bought from Cole at Fisher in December of 2018. The CR-V was amazing, but a hail storm destroyed it. So off my son and I went to find our new family car. Brandon Copico sent us out in a CR-V but let us know that the Pilots were few and far between and some were coming, but they were a hot commodity and our choices would be limited. I let Brandon know that we were willing to wait for the right car, the right color, the right trim and that if I had my way, we would purchase our next car from Fisher again. He and I sat down and looked at the emails with upcoming deliveries, but I will be honest, I was pretty dismayed - it seemed like this wasn't going to happen. Brandon had me scan his business card and told me we would stay in touch and he would let me know if a Pilot came in for me to test drive. About 2 weeks later, he texted and let me know a Fleet vehicle was there, and we could come take a look. I dragged my husband over lunch to go see it and meet Brandon. We drove it, I loved it, and asked if I could bring my son back that evening so he could take a ride in it as well. Brandon said "absolutely" and acted like he had NO Idea how I felt about the car so my son could "test drive it" unbiased as well. My kiddo loved it! haha! We sat down again and looked at the list - nothing coming in that we really wanted. I asked about getting a Pilot delivered from another dealership and Brandon said that wasn't an option. He knew that the LAST thing I wanted was a bright WHITE Pilot and that was really the extent of the inventory coming in the EX-L trim. He said, "I am not going to sell you a White Pilot that you are going to resent later; it's just not happening." I said, "Would you hate me if I had to go to another dealership haha?" He said of course not, but that we would stay in touch JUST in case. (I know this is a long story, but please bear with me). I did a lot of internet searching over the next few weeks. I saw the inventory on Honda.com. I knew what was out there. There was one dealership in the area with an EX-L and I reached out to them for a cash-buy quote. They sent me the quote with a TON of optional packages on it. I asked what they were and why they were there and I was told, well that is just how they sell things, BUT if it meant he could win my business he would "go to bat" for me and see about getting some of those taken off. This felt shady. My husband and I talked it over some more and decided, you know, maybe if we go up a trim level to the Touring, it would be OK and the cost would only be a bit more and maybe that was ok, too. So I texted Brandon on Thursday morning and said, tell me what you have. He was like "SUSI!! HI!" - it was hysterical lol. We sent a few messages back and forth, he sent me a quote for the silver Touring and I made an appointment to come in that afternoon. I walked into the dealership and from his desk he yells "SUSI!" as soon as I walked in. It made my day. Drove the car, loved that car. Talked to Brandon. Signed all of the paperwork. Took a walk with Brandon while we waited for the Finance Manager to be ready and that was it. Never once did Brandon pressure me, make me feel like I NEEDED to be upsold, or even that I NEEDED to buy my new car from him, but yet here I was writing my check. I trusted Brandon, his candor, his transparency, and my history with Fisher in Boulder. He was SHOCKED that I went up a trim level haha. I told him that if I could, I would be buying a car from Fisher and from HIM and that is what the our Family did. I trust the Fisher shop. I trust the Fisher staff. I am thrilled with my new Shiny Silver Honda Pilot 2023 Touring Edition lol. And my son was ELATED to be included in the process by Brandon, not just by me. He felt like he was a part of this process, and that means a lot! More
