Horrible experience, I brought my car in for repair and it has been over 15 days with poor communication, very unprofessional, no answering my messages / calls asking for updates, no updates on my car and it has been over 15 days with poor communication, very unprofessional, no answering my messages / calls asking for updates, no updates on my car repairs at all, no estimated completion time and the diagnostic test was completed 10 days after I dropped off my car. The service took significantly longer than the 3 to 5 days estimate I was given. It is like they are Not In Business For Every Customer; maybe they just choose who they want to do business with, which is not the right thing to do at all. As I didn’t received updates from Service Department and I was 15 days dealing with them trying to find out, then I called to different numbers at the Five Star Hyundai of Macon, but anyway, THEY DID NOT ANSWER, I was directed to an automated system, which was very frustrated when I was expecting an answer, understandable sometimes if they are busy, then I decided to sent them a text message, but any way I didn’t receive any reply from them. As I didn’t received replies from the dealer I decided to call Hyundai Customer Care Center to complain about this issue and try to find out something about my car and I filed a complain. Dealing with 5 Star Hyundai Macon is being very frustrating (No updates on the status of my car and Poor communication). I’ve been struggling and spending lots of money for transportation every day while my car was at the dealer waiting for their service; I couldn’t satisfy all my needs due to this issue; also I was not earning anything, because I use my car to work. The excessive waiting time was a significant inconvenience was actually both frustrating and a waste of my time. On October 17th I was still waiting for any communication from Service Department, but unexpectedly I received a call from one of the Five Star Hyundai of Macon Manager to let me know that my car will be a priority and that he will be the person in charge to make sure my car will be released on the next day. It looks like my complain to Hyundai Customer Care Center was escalated and the dealer was notified about my complaint. On October 18th I was notified that my car will be ready to be released from the dealer in the afternoon. I was finally able to pick up my car, but unfortunately THEY DID’NT DO THE TIRE ROTATION, which was the reason of the appointment I made for. They didn’t offer any complimentary service in compensation for their poor customers service, not even cleaning or car wash, I got my car dirty from the dealer and there was a chipped car paint at the driver door handle that wasn’t before. I hope their service department will improve its communication with customers regarding unexpected delays and ensure quality control on all repairs before releasing vehicles. I recommended them more regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicle repairs, parts needs, cost and Estimated Completion Time. I would also recommend them to have some kindness with their customers like complementary services to keep their customers coming back. More
This is the worst dealership that I have ever encountered. They are incompetent, deceitful, and do not grasp the concept of customer service on any level. I would not recommend them to anyone. NEGATIVE STARS! !! WORST SERVICE DEPT EVER IN THE WORLD. HAD MY CAR FOR 3 MONTHS, SHIPPED BACK TO ME IN ILLINOIS WITH SAME ISSUES IT WAS TOWED THERE FOR. THEY SAID !! WORST SERVICE DEPT EVER IN THE WORLD. HAD MY CAR FOR 3 MONTHS, SHIPPED BACK TO ME IN ILLINOIS WITH SAME ISSUES IT WAS TOWED THERE FOR. THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED, BUT DROVE LESS THAN 10 MILES, BROKE DOWN AGAIN. THEY TOOK THE WHOLE ENGINE APART AND PUT BACK TOGETHER WITHOUT FIXING IT. DONT TRUST THEM!!! More

Posting this in hopes of sparing others the stress, awful experiences, and wasted time of dealing with this establishment. The absolute worst customer service ever experienced (from the receptionist, to the experiences, and wasted time of dealing with this establishment. They are rude. They are deceitful. They are dishonest. They do not follow-through on what they say they will do. They do not answer the phone 99% of the time. They do not return phone calls. They had my car for 34 days! Charged me $2300. I had the car back for 10 days. It did the same thing, cutting off when stopped at traffic lights . Brought it back in. In all, Charged me $2300. Worst service we have ever received. 2025 Genesis towed in for Warranty work SEP 16, and still not returned as of OCT 21. Car was towed to 5-Star. They got it running but on a test drive by Derek the service Mgr it broke down again. I was told engine blown and they were waiting on approval from hyundai. Now it's a different story again. Hyundai corporate stated there was never a request for new engine. Now it's a different story again. More lies. Their way to resolve the issue is to ship car to me back in Illinois and let someone else fix it!!! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place and these liars and horrible GM Brad Marks if you don't want to be called names! Update: car returned to me in Illinois, drove it 10 miles and it broke down on road again exactly as originally back in June. Towed again to hyundai here by me. More
