Ever since the Dealership was sold in MAY '21, the service department has gone downhill fast. They cannot hold onto service writers and the ones that they have are NOT knowledgeable at all. If you are looking for a scammer dealer you found the right one we saw a car advertised on their web side for $54,000.00 a ford mustang spoke with them over the phone was ready to buy the car even took a right one we saw a car advertised on their web side for $54,000.00 a ford mustang spoke with them over the phone was ready to buy the car even took a certified check with me when we got there saw the car when we sit down to do the numbers they brought me the paper with the price of $70,000.00 they said because there was a shortage of cars they were charging the “ market value” even that the cars value was $54,000.00 and the manager was so rude I drove 2,5 hours to get robbed I told them that was false adverting that was a crime and then they went on their web side and put that the price could change according to market value , a big scam , if you want to be rip off and deal with dishonest people this is the dealership for you , but if you are look for a decent and honest dealership stay away from them . I reached out to Ford of Branford regarding a vehicle listed at a competitive price relative to its miles, condition and carfax deficiencies. My initial contact with the dealership confirmed price a listed at a competitive price relative to its miles, condition and carfax deficiencies. My initial contact with the dealership confirmed price and dealer fees via text, the representative wished me good luck after i inquired about the missing service history. Having an opportunity time wise to see the vehicle but with no contact from the dealership i reached out a second time from a different number. Initial canned responses were not followed up. So a call was made to set up a viewing. Arrived at the dealership confirmed myself to the original phone number provided which had been wished well over a basic question, blame was placed by the salesman on the desk rep. The vehicle itself was reasonably good, however in its 280 days in the post corona market on the lot it had accumulated 7,000 miles, 4,000 more than its listing amount, the front bumper had been driven into a curb rather significantly since listing pictures were taken and the vehicle had spent the 7,000 miles of use by dealership employees with an unaddressed cam phaser issue which ford actually has a service bulletin dated before the fully warrantied vehicle was in their possession. The vehicle was fine enough otherwise and after a test drive I sat down for the numbers end. Given the 4,000 miles and damage not reflected in listing my starting point was subtracting the $799 document fee. What i was provided was a sheet with numerous not previously stated dealer fees totaling several thousand dollars. Including the notorious scummy dealer “reconditioning” fee. These fees were not in any way stated on the website, internet listings or more importantly when directly questioned by the initial dealership contact. Adding to the experience after i bluntly rejected the pricing bait and switch the dealership finally reached out to my second ignored contact while I was in the showroom to work me against me. I purchase or handle the purchase of 3-4 vehicles a year. Ford of Branford was the worst dealership experience I have had. The vehicle was misrepresented by thousands of miles, the condition was misrepresented and the pricing was misrepresented. The experience was fully negative in every regard and I would fully caution anybody from doing business there. More
LISTEN, dealerships can stress me and my wife out, BUT Our sales rep (Steven) was awesome! So easy to speak with and understanding of what we wanted and did not want!
