I brought my Taurus in for "The Works" package, as advertised by Mike Rowe and available at most Ford Dealerships. All I needed was the oil change, but I appreciate the value of also having the ti as advertised by Mike Rowe and available at most Ford Dealerships. All I needed was the oil change, but I appreciate the value of also having the tires rotated, and the multi-point/component inspection with the report card indicating what needs service/may soon need service/is ok, etc. The mechanic didn't fill out such a report card, and I was only verbally told of three repairs which needed to be done, one of which were bad ball joints on the front end. Knowing this to be a potential safety issue, I agreed to have the ball joints replaced, despite the cost. The service adviser did not have an answer for me as to why the written report card was not completed. In the end, he had the mechanic just sloppily jot down some notes, indicating the suggested immediate repairs: ball joints (which I had done), alignment, and a few small cracks developing in the coil. Within a day or two of this repair service, a noticeable squeak had developed on the front left wheel, as the tire rotated, the same wheel where the ball joint had just been replaced. I noticed no change in handling, so I just assumed it was the new parts properly settling in to alignment. A week and a half after the new ball joints were installed, the squeak rapidly escalated into a serious problem, with a noticeable rhythmic rumbling as the wheel went around, and a pull to the left. I paid to have the car towed back to Ford of Branford, presuming this was the result of the ball joint installation since the symptoms would be very similar. After the same mechanic looked at it, he determined the left tie rod was severely corroded and would need to be immediately replaced. Since the tie rod and the ball joints are very close to each other, I asked the service adviser why this was not noticed when I had been there less than two weeks before, as part of The Works inspection. Tie rods don’t just suddenly experience significant corrosion in the span of a week and a half and 600 miles in the summer months. The adviser had no answer for me, and again had no answer as to why I didn’t receive a standard report card (“you should have”). It seems strange to me that this exhibited no problems until immediately after the ball joint work was performed. I picked up my car, now covered in mud from sitting on their back lot, was told everything checked out ok on the road test, and drove it off to my next destination. I noticed the coolant temperature gauge was unusually low and stayed low about two minutes into my drive, and less than five minutes from Ford of Branford, the car began to exhibit strange acceleration and other odd characteristics… on the interstate no less. I was able to get to a safe place to park before it overheated completely, but then had to call another tow truck to take it back to Ford of Branford, where I had been about 10 minutes earlier. In speaking with a different service adviser on the phone, I was advised the dealer would cover my tow fee. The car went back to Ford of Branford. When the service manager paged the same mechanic to come to the service desk to look it over, I’m sorry to say that I overheard part of their conversation. It shouldn’t matter if the car has been there ten times in the same number of days, if it still isn’t right, the customer should not have to endure scowls from the mechanics. This time, the water pump had completely failed. I know the water pump is completely independent from the steering system, including tie rods and ball joints. It may be just chance, but it just seems too coincidental that another important component would fail within a mile of the dealer lot, where it had not exhibited any problems before hand. I’m not saying anything was done deliberately, but if something gets banged, giggled or otherwise unsettled, things happen. I understand that. I think what has upset me the most out of this situation is that no one at the dealership was willing recognize any possibility that that may have been the case. In the end, they afforded me a very modest discount on this last repair only and sent me on my way, but without reimbursing me for the tow. I was going to ask for a complimentary car wash since my car was clean upon initial arrival the previous day but decided it wasn’t worth the hassle; something else would probably break. I don’t appreciate being affronted by service staff when it is clear there is still a problem, likewise with mechanics. It makes it hard to place your trust in their work when major problems creep up which went “unnoticed” just recently before. The fact that there was no explanation for my lack of a report card sheet or that somehow the tie rod had gone unnoticed makes me question the thoroughness and completeness of their work. I would not suggest this service department and would recommend to others to drive the few extra miles to take it to another Ford Dealership where the staff are more thorough and respectful of their paying customers. More
Everyone is friendly and helpful. Even when I needed a used product that I knew wasn't their specialty they were still there to help and got me into the perfect "2nd" car that I needed. Jeff Roskin and all of the people I dealt with at the dealership were super professional, courteous and just plain nice! They did a fantastic job of prep'ing the used car that I purchased (2009 Cadillac dealership were super professional, courteous and just plain nice! They did a fantastic job of prep'ing the used car that I purchased (2009 Cadillac CTS-4) and gave me a fair Trade-In value on my car! I'll recommend this dealership and people to any and every one I know that's looking to buy a new or used car. Well worth the drive from Mamaroneck, NY!!! More
Saw a used truck on the internet. I arrived the next day was was greeted by Jeff and we chatted awhile and then he showed me the truck.The truck was better than he described and the test ride was great. No pressure or talk about will I purchase. I found out later he came in on his day off, rare to see these days. I am close to retirement and have owned many high end vechiles new and used and Jeff made the purchase a pleasurable one. More

I expected a battle going in to buy a new car, but it was total opposite, i had more irratation getting the loan from my credit union. I had a price in my head and with quotes from other dealers, Jeff's price was super close and they had the exact car on the lot that we wanted. Jill helped us finilize all the paper work and Juan gave us a tutorial on the myford touch because Jeff had the day off. Sorry Jeff, lol, but you still get a 10 out of 10. Overall i was very pleased and Ford of Branford will be first stop if i ever need a car again. I should bring the car there for service to, hopefully the service center is just as good! More
I had a very positive experience working with the staff at Ford of Branford.
