**3rd time's the charm** In 2011 I was in the market for a new car, and I was very interested in the Ford Taurus SHO that had just been re-released in 2010. After my workout at 24-Hour Fitness in Upland, wh a new car, and I was very interested in the Ford Taurus SHO that had just been re-released in 2010. After my workout at 24-Hour Fitness in Upland, which is next door to where Upland Ford was (back then), I walked over to check out the SHO they had on the floor. Granted, I was younger then, sweaty, and wearing workout clothes. But when a salesman met me at the door and I inquired on the SHO he immediately said (and I quote), "You know, these are pretty expensive", and he encouraged me to look at something a little more in my price range. Problem is, I just asked to check out the SHO. We hadn't talked about my income, my credit, finance/cash/lease... nothing. I was just asking product questions. I decided I didn't need to be treated like that, so I went to Ontario CDJR and bought a limited edition 2011 Dodge Charger Mopar I have a picture as "proof" but you can't add them here. That's the first time Upland Ford lost my business for the way they treated me. In 2019, my son was graduating Upland HS, had worked hard, saved money, and wanted to trade in the "first car" that we bought him for his own car that was all his with his money... a Mustang. He went over to Upland Ford to check them out and was strangely greeted in the same way I had been greeted in 2011. So, he found a good deal on a Mustang at Villa Ford in Orange County and did business there instead. I have pics but you can't add them here. That's the second time Upland Ford lost our business by the way they treat people. Today (7/5/24), I was washing my old commuter car at the drive-thru car wash next door to the new Upland Ford on 20th Street. I'm in the market for a new car again and I'm interested in the 2025 Ford Explorer xx. According to Edmunds, Car and Driver, Ford Authority.com, Motor Trend and myriad of other media outlets and YouTube influencers production was started approximately the second week of May 2024, and dealerships were set to have them on the lot by the end of the second quarter; which is the end of June 2024. But, I haven't' found any on any Ford lots anywhere. So, I happen to be next door to Upland Ford, it's been years and years since they burned me, car lots have high employee turnover, they are at a completely new location.... things have probably changed, right? Nope. I walked in and asked a young salesman if they had any information on delivery dates for the 2025 Explorers. Some arrogant, pompous wind bag from behind the desk yells out, with a sarcastic tone, in the middle of our conversation, "They don't even start production till August!" I replied, "That's interesting because all of these websites and influencers say it started in May. So, I was just asking your salesman here." He interrupts me to yell across the room to some other guy, "Hey, when does production start on the Explorers?" Again, dripping with a sarcastic tone. Maybe it's true, but you don't have to talk to me like that. And, I didn't see the need to wait for that answer from a couple of xxxxxx who were treating me like crap AT UPLAND FORD for the THIRD TIME in my life. So I told them to "never mind" and I left. As I'm walking out the initial xxxxx yells after me, "Why you getting mad at us, bro?" Well, sir. You're a jerk. That's why. Yet again, I will be taking my business elsewhere FOR THE THIRD TIME and I can absolutely assure you that I will never set foot on the Upland Ford lot again. I've already warned some of my employees and co-workers (who are Ford people, and Upland residents) to do the same. I have screen shots showing I told them not to do business here, but you can't add pics. Check Google and Yelp for my pics with the same comments. It's really unfortunate that Upland Ford chooses to treat people like this. Clearly, it's not isolated to an individual person or persons. It's their culture which reflects leadership/management. More
I was interested in a 2022 Ford Ranger from Ford of Upland and Taylor called me before they were even open.
