I expected I might need to replace "warped" front brake rotors causing the steering wheel oscillation. I also agreed to brake pad replacement less than 40% of their service life remained. Service manager Alan suggested "resurfacing" the front rotors as a less expensive brake repair than rotor replacement. In addition, my brake pads had 60% of their surface life remaining, so they were not replaced. I trust service manager Alan's judgement about my car's repair needs as he could have elected to replace brake rotors and pads and I would not have known that less expensive repair options existed.
