I had a 9:30 AM Appointment made with the service manager to have my driver door window switch for the front passenger window replaced. I asked if they had the part in stock because that had been an issue onc to have my driver door window switch for the front passenger window replaced. I asked if they had the part in stock because that had been an issue once before. I was told it would be OK. I also had a problem with my driver side windshield wiper blade. I arrived at 9:15AM. I got checked in and the blade was just a piece of metal that had not gotten locked into place..I asked about how long it might take for the switch. I was told about an hour and a half. The service writer looked confused when I said I would wait. He offered a shuttle but I explained I was on a vacation day to get this work done so I could wait. At noon, two and a half hours later I went to check on the progress and my car had not been started on yet. I was not happy with the prospect of waiting another hour and a half so I said to cancel the work and bring my car up. It still took another half hour to process me on my way. I had an appointment. Had I been a walk-in it would have been a different story. When I have an appointment at the VA Clinic for 9:00 AM my butt better be sitting in a chair because somebody will call my name at 9:00 AM SHARP! That is the standard I work on. That is the standard that excellent customer service is based on. so to answer your question: Hey Bruce! Was Kia of Greenville awesome? No. It was not awesome. It would have to a few levels to get to acceptable let alone awesome! Bruce W Kingsbury More
