Extended warranty When I called and told the parts department guy what I needed (after speaking to 3 people to find one who could help) I was told that the part would i When I called and told the parts department guy what I needed (after speaking to 3 people to find one who could help) I was told that the part would installed at no charge due to the 10 year/100,000 mile, “bumper to bumper warranty” we purchased when we purchased the car. When we went to our appointment, we were told that there was a $100.00 deductible. Not happy, but maybe I had forgotten about that deductible. Then we were told we would have to pay the entire $135.00 because our warranty didn’t include “trim”. My wife is a lot less excitable than me and didn’t want me to make a scene, so I expressed my displeasure to the service guy who helped us, who actually was a great guy, and we paid and left. Because I was crazy enough to buy the warranty, I will continue to try to use it, but the next time, unless I’m told in advance, there will not be any money paid by me. This does not say anything about the 2 separate times that a screw was found in the sidewall of a tire when the car was being turned over to me. Twice!? More
