WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! !!! I am not local, drove from Laredo, TX to San Antonio because Freedom Chevrolet had the exact vehicle I was looking for. I was handling all of the !!! I am not local, drove from Laredo, TX to San Antonio because Freedom Chevrolet had the exact vehicle I was looking for. I was handling all of the details with salesman Jarren Harbour. Before leaving Laredo, I asked him if they had any sort of market adjustments on the vehicle, since not all dealerships are taking advantage of the ongoing situation, and he told me that the only thing would be MSRP + TTL + a 997 Dollar dealer package that included tint, protection film, and wheel locks. I agreed to it and made the two and a half hour drive to the dealership. He told me that he couldn’t reserve the vehicle for me, so I was taking a gamble already. I get there and before seeing the vehicle, He made me sign a paper that said that if the vehicle had at least my top 3 things that I wanted on it, and that if the numbers were where I wanted them, that I would buy it. I signed it knowing that with what he had told me, the price was not going to exceed 68k. He then takes me outside to see the vehicle. I see the vehicle, and after seeing it and getting on, immediately made the decision of taking it. I didn’t even test drive it. We go back inside and he shows me the numbers. 67k, and some change, out the door price. He tells me that the price is final with no discounts other than the 500 dollars military incentive that he would add for me and should put me right around 67,100. I agree to the price and tell him that we are good to go. HERE IS WHERE THE ISSUE STARTED. I tell him that I had a pre approval with my bank, Navy federal credit union, and that I had already taken care of the financing part of the deal. He then asks me, what dealerships always do, that if they can try to see if they can earn my business and maybe match or beat my rate of 2.7%. Knowing that they probably wouldn’t, and because I always finance with Navy Fed, respectfully decline and tell him that I would be sticking with navy fed and that I was ready to sign and finish the deal to head back home. He then tells me that he had to inform his manager, Phillip Rodriguez, that I had agreed to the out the door price and that I would not need their financing. After a few minutes, he comes back and asks me to reconsider and that to at least let them run my credit and see if they could offer me a competitive rate. I, again, respectfully decline and tell him that I would stick with navy fed. Jarren once again tells me that he was just going to tell his manager. He comes back and tells me that his manager told him that if I am not even willing to allow them to run my credit and attempt to compete with my pre approval loan, that they were going to decline the transaction, essentially not sell me the vehicle. Frustrated, I asked him why if I agreed to numbers, signed that document, and had a clear method of payment. Jarren further explained that it was out of his hands. At this point my wife steps outside, upset and frustrated, I follow her and we talk about the situation. I then go back inside, ask Jarren to reconsider. He tells me that managment won’t budge and that they were pretty set on that. I then asked him for his managers name for the complaint I was going to make with GM. He then tells his manager, Phillip Rodriguez, who comes over and tries to give me a story about how he has to handle the situation like that because they need to see if they can earn a little bit of money since they are not doing the dealership market adjustment. I told him that I didn’t see why it was a problem if I was agreeing to the price and the dealer package add on. I wasn’t able to reason with him and just asked for the sheet of the numbers that they presented me, to use as proof of me being there and what happened. He then told me that he wasn’t authorized to give that out and that all he could do was have Jarren give me Jarren’s business card with the numbers, that they showed me, written on the back of it. I told him that if that was the case, to have him give me that, along with his business card, Phillip’s, as well. They provided me with those two thing and I left. I then called GM and now have a case number where they are looking into the situation. Very unsatisfying experience at this particular dealership. Nowhere on their page does it say that in order to purchase a vehicle at this place, you HAVE to finance with them. More
My vehicle was dropped off around 9:30 in the morning for an oil change and break pads replacement. It took them all day to do the job. When I got there to pick up my vehicle, they did not do the oil change, an oil change and break pads replacement. It took them all day to do the job. Took my '22 Tahoe for a window replacement due to a break in. After looking it over and before driving off we noticed multiple defects in the installation, the interior door panels were misaligned, an exterior window seal was not installed properly, and the interior door seal was not seated properly around the trim. After taking it back for corrections a second time it's missing hardware. The only reason I went to this "Certified Dealer" was due to the Costco discount on repairs. I should have paid the full price somewhere else. 30 min trip each way and I have to go back again. More

I had identified one problem, but they gave the vehicle a thorough inspection, identifying three more, called the extended warrantee provider to verify that the repairs were covered and corrected the problems. Extremely satisfied with their personnel and the way that they handled my vehicle. Could not believe it…. Spoke to the Service Manager Paul Patina and he didn’t show any remorse, sarcastically said “didn’t they bring your car back to repair it”. I typically never provide feedback but, Never do business with Freedom Chevrolet… More

I made an appointment for 7:00 AM and the advisor told me he can have it looked at sometime today or tomorrow. What’s the point of making an appointment if it’s not going to be serviced at the scheduled appointment time. I brought with me a copy of a service bulletin, I found online of the issue the vehicle was having. So it wasn’t like they had to inspect the vehicle or do extra work to find the problem, I did that for them. Thinking it would speed up the time I was there but that didn’t matter. 5 hours after I dropped it off, I finally get notified to approve the service I was asking for and a multi point inspection report. I looked over the report and saw that only the tire thread depth was filled in. You kept my car for this long, why wouldn’t you do an actual full point inspection. It would have been a good gesture to show some appreciation towards a customer that service dealerships actually give a dam about the customers. Once they finished the job, I go to pick up the vehicle. I walk in and I’m not even acknowledge, at least a “We will be right with you, sir”. Out of the 4 advisors I saw, two of them were on phones which wasn’t a problem but the other two advisors talking with other co-workers non bussiness related is what upset me. So once one of them finished up their convo, he approached me like if I was a bother. He gives me the papers to sign and I see a shop charge of $25. I understand the fee for the supplies used for a service but all that was needed was for you to plug in your computer and reprogram my car. I got no explanation for the charge, he just went to the back office and got it removed. I don’t know why that charge was on there to begin with if it was unnecessary. Your team needs a refresher course in customer service and to be more transparent on what your charging your customers. More
