People had told me they worked with people with bad credit, so I was optimistic. Right away I was shown a beautiful 2016 Altima. Trouble was I had no real down payment to put towards it. I came back a few days later with money, and they said they’d sold the car and now financing was going to be trouble since the banks had already approved me for that car and submitting a request for another would confuse them. ...Okay...? When they thought they had a car for me, they asked if I could put MORE money down. The bank would approve it then they said. Nope. Still not approved. Several more times they suggested other vehicles and down payment amounts, each time increasing the amount the bank claimed they wanted. By the time they showed me a xxx Sebring, I had been there for 8 hours at only 1 week post op from abdominal surgery. I was exhausted and I gave in. I had no other car and thought with my poor credit this was the only option. Fine. I drove home and noticed immediately that the car stank of cigarettes (which went away after changing the air filter... you didn’t even change the air filter guys?), and the brakes were bad. Nobody noticed? No, they noticed but didn’t care. I also saw the oil change light come on the next morning, and my tire pressure sensor was blinking but someone had covered it with black tape. :facepalm: I called the next morning to complain about the brakes and oil change. The service team offered to take care of it free. The people in the service center are the only good thing about that place. The guy who worked with me didn’t try mansplaining at all which I appreciated. Upon further inspection of the car, I noticed rust on the trunk lid which wasn’t disclosed to me and that factored in should have reduced the price. They convinced me to do an 18 month loan with 20% APR because of my credit. They never told me who the loan was through and how to make extra payments or anything. Late January I decided that after spending $600 in that month alone to repair the vehicle and have it towed around town, enough was enough. This trash car had to go. People kept referring me to St J Auto (go there instead and tell Nina that Crystal sent you!) so I went. without any xx trying to score more from me on a down payment or the bait and switch bullshirt I got from Freedom, I drove home in a matter of 2 hours with a 2015 Optima with barely 30k miles on it. Oh, and my payment for the Optima? $20 less a month which is huge for a single mom of 2. Run, don’t walk, as far away from Freedom Nissan as you can. Go to St J and get free inspections with your car. It’s worth the drive. Trust me! Also when I went to trade the Sebring, the finance people never returned Nina’s calls and gave me attitude when I contacted them for a payoff. Well, if you want people doing business with you, maybe don’t screw them over. Just a suggestion. Let’s hope they refund my last car payment that they refused to cancel until the payoff check for the car was received which I get, except it’s been almost two weeks. Can I have that money back, or are you going to make me wait another two weeks or more for what is mine? Thanks a bunch guys. :eyeroll: More

Simply put I’ll never walk into this place again. I went to buy a car and sales associate was stuck on ONE car they probably had to get rid off. After multiple attempts to test drive and ask for additional to buy a car and sales associate was stuck on ONE car they probably had to get rid off. After multiple attempts to test drive and ask for additional vehicle offerings I was shut down by being told “This is the ONLY dealership I’ll walk into and find the right car and the right deal”. After several wasted hours I walked away to a different dealership who made me feel like a human and helped me get into a car. I want to share my experience and save anyone looking for a car a trip. By no means don’t go here. There’s a dealership on every corner. More

My husband and I went in to test a Rogue. We were patient as we test drove a 2019 model then asked to see a 2020. The sales man only wanted to talk about the 2019 which he had 4 to sell off. It wasn’t a color we wanted but we couldn’t get him to talk about any other options. He just wanted to sell that car and wasn’t interested in what we wanted. The deal was terrible - sticker price with a very poor trade in. We left asking him to contact us with a better deal. We were ready to buy and able to pay outright or with financing. He never contacted us. He had offered us over 5% interest and after leaving we found out that Nissan had a promotion available for .9%! We went to another city and bought the car. They didn’t need our business enough to even have a good conversation (didn’t even want to tell us colors the car came in!). They lost. More

Confusing service To make a long story short, I was told by the salesperson when I leased our new Leaf that I would need to bring it in to have it serviced in 6 months. When I asked what possible maintenance an electric car would need, he gave a vague answer. In six months, I got an email reminder about the appointment and called because the date wouldn't work. I was never asked what I was bringing the vehicle in for. Thinking the service was needed to maintain good standing with the lease agreement, I drove two hours in and back in pouring rain to find out that I really didn't need to bring it in, because there was no maintenance necessary. I was upset enough to email a complaint. Freedom Nissan has no contact option on their website for registering a complaint, so I used the general inquiry option. In it, I wrote basically what I have written above. I got only one response. It was an automatic response with a list of available inventory. It had the general sales manager's name at the bottom. My complaint was entirely ignored. More

Our experience entailed getting shown cars I said I didn’t want to see, including one that had obviously been in an accident (yes I understand they would’ve fixed it up but this is bad salesmanship) I had decided Nissan wasn’t the choice for me and thanked the salesperson, Jesse for their time. Then he proceeded to go get his manager who came out and INSISTED that we stay, that any other dealership would STEAL my money and so on. I was there with my parents and my Mother tried to kindly decline, he was so persistent and rude I had to interject just to get us out of there. Even after a firm no, he continued acting like a complete jerk. We ended up just walking away when he was still talking because it was a completely ridiculous situation! Also none of the employees I spoke or interacted with are even listed here for me to point out. And Jesse had no business cards and did not give me his last name. Unrelated to cars, I witnessed one of their employees flick a lot cigarette into the grass on the Nissan property- which was completely disgusting. Just an overall negative experience here. I would never recommend going to this dealership after the experience I had. More
