I inquired about an early 90's truck in their online used inventory. As much information as they had was provided. Later in the day, I stopped in to inspect the vehicle. Sam was busy with a couple looking inventory. As much information as they had was provided. Later in the day, I stopped in to inspect the vehicle. Sam was busy with a couple looking at another vehicle, and Corey took me to look at the truck. The interior and exterior of the truck was accurately described. The dealership has a full-point inspection they do on all vehicles, but I requested to have it looked over by an outside source and a trusted friend of mine who owns a shop. Corey said we could arrange it, and the next morning, I met Sam at opening and we test-drove the truck to the shop. After two and a half hours, everything checked out in great shape (suspension, diffs, engine), besides a minor oil leak between the seals, common in this model truck, and was accurately described in their listing. A Carfax report was also run on the truck, at my expense, to check for any possible discrepancies between the freely-provided Experian report. A mileage discrepancy was found. I raised concern about this, to which Corey responded by allowing me to speak with the previous owner of the truck and gather additional information about it. With the information provided, we were able to establish that the mileage was correct, and my issues were resolved. I've spent a year looking for the truck to purchase, went to multiple dealers and private owners. Most previous sales reps would steer me away from the vehicles I was interested in and try to sell me something more expensive. Sam asked me initially what I was looking for in a truck and if there were any other models they had in stock he could show me. However, after I refused, he did not try to change my mind, nor did he show less interest in helping me purchase a less expensive truck. Once I decided to purchase, we spent a few minutes negotiating price. Neither Sam or Corey were aggressive or used any pressure tactics before or during the sale. We came to an agreement that worked for all of us, and I bought the truck. It took half an hour or so for the paperwork to be finalized, but there was another customer ahead of me who was financing. Roye was polite and did not seem agitated that I wanted to read all the details and fine print of each paper I signed. Overall it was a smooth and pleasant experience. I'm satisfied with my purchase and am grateful for the time both Sam and Corey spent helping me. Thank you. More
I have absolutely no confidence in this dealership ability to repair anything other than minor problems,on the surface they appear to be open and willing to make good on their work as long as you go i ability to repair anything other than minor problems,on the surface they appear to be open and willing to make good on their work as long as you go in with an open check book. The service manager can not be contacted directly, and there is no contact information for anyone other than sales. True customer service lives up to the promises made by dealership personnel, not just empty meaningless words. More
Tammy Kelly was my service writer. She was friendly, efficient, and informative. Under her direction, we were able to fix a leak in my sunroof that 4 different dealerships could not figure out over the efficient, and informative. Under her direction, we were able to fix a leak in my sunroof that 4 different dealerships could not figure out over the course of the last few years. I had about given up, and this was my last attempt at a fix. Other service departments had just attempted the easy fix, charged me money, and sent me on my way. In each of these situations, the leak returned within the first few rainfalls after the problem had been "fixed". At Gary Mathews, the technicians understood the history of the vehicle and got down to work. They did testing to determine the true nature of the problem, and then implemented a more sophisticated approach and the problem finally got fixed! The work was done in a timely fashion and at a fair price. Also, they have a very good shuttle service, so I was able to make my time productive while my car was being worked on. Thank you Tammy. Thanks to all at Gary Mathews of Nashville. Regards, Ed Martin More
This is not my first visit to the Gary Matthews Service Department. Each of my visits out-pictured this organization's commitment to "walk-the-walk"...not just "talk-the-talk"...of the Department. Each of my visits out-pictured this organization's commitment to "walk-the-walk"...not just "talk-the-talk"...of the definition of what true "customer-service" is supposed to be; from the lady who first answers the telephone before you come in, the job-estimator prior to the service to be given and the person who reviews your final bill. These are the essential elements that build trust in an industry otherwise rife with the lack of same. And yes, it takes a degree of "managerial & ownership" excellence and vision to put in place such a positive customer-relations experience. Just as importantly, however, it takes a gaggle of highly intelligent and motivated employees at every step along the way, day-in-and-day-out, to properly implement it, and then sustain it. The bottom line: I'LL BE BACK! [Bruce Benefield] Antioch, TN 37013 More
My wife and I have purchased 3 cars from Gary Mathews Nashville in the past 2 years. We visited again in late August, looking at purchasing a Grand Cherokee. The salesman, Tim was very nice and we decide Nashville in the past 2 years. We visited again in late August, looking at purchasing a Grand Cherokee. The salesman, Tim was very nice and we decided not to buy that day. We came back last week and Tim was off so another salesman helped us briefly(not sure of his name). The dealership seemed like a different place; the salesperson didn't seem to know any of the answers to our questions and he kept looking for a manager to ask but no one seemed available. After more than an hour of getting nowhere, we asked if we could just talk directly to the sales manager. We were told he was "busy". When we asked to see his boss, we were told he leaves around 3:30 each day - I'm not sure I would have shared that with unhappy customers! We left a message for the head guy to call us; after a week, still nothing. I'm not sure what's happened to this nice place to do business; I just know my wife and I bought elsewhere this time and won't go back to Mathews. More
I went in for my 3K oil change service and mentioned to Dylan that I still had scratches on my hood. I had been in on two other occasions to have them fixed but found that some were still there. Dylan jump Dylan that I still had scratches on my hood. I had been in on two other occasions to have them fixed but found that some were still there. Dylan jumped to call one of the detail guys up to see if he could take care of them. Tyler was able to fix the scratches in just a few minutes without an appt or me having to take more time off work. These guys did more for me in an hour than I could get done in two months. Dylan explained my service contract, tire rotation etc and promised to take care of me. This was the best customer service I have seen in a very long time. I feel more confident that GM will take care of anything that I might need in the future. I got more than an oil change this visit because these guys went beyond what they had to do. My Jeep looks great. More

Matthews Chrsyler; from the time you roll into the service bay and you're greeted before even getting out of your car its all about ME the customer...who doesn't like to feel specialespecially those beautiful red leather chairs and BIG flat screen in the waiting area. I always get coupons and most times when I get there there's an even better special available. My 2nd favorite thing is their timeliness - routine maintenance shouldn't take a long time and at Matthews Chrysler it doesn't - I love my little Sebring and I love the Gary Matthews Dealership. THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!!! More
This was the best service I have ever experienced among different dealerships. They were very friendly, prompt, and kept me informed while I waited. They were very thorough and the service tech even took different dealerships. They were very friendly, prompt, and kept me informed while I waited. They were very thorough and the service tech even took the time to confirm with me the problem I was having. Even though I didn't purchase the vehicle there I still was treated as an important customer. Thanks again for such great service! More
I have started to come to you because Joey, Amy and Jones moved to your location. I really didin't like your location's service BEFORE you took after from the former dealer. so I was not comfortable coming moved to your location. I really didin't like your location's service BEFORE you took after from the former dealer. so I was not comfortable coming back. It was a great surprise that everyone at service are so nice and I did felt "I'm OK to trust here!" Thank you for the wonderful work and your smile always. Sorry that I say price is "OK". I do believe "good sevice is worse to pay the price". But as living with budget person, only my wish is the time won't come to the end that I need to give up this great sevice because of my budget won't much to it (lol). More
