We were driving through Santa Rosa and decided to take a look at the Tacoma's. We were greeted by Lorena Ortiz. She asked how she could help us and immediately showed us what we were looking for. Bargaining was stressful. Several times the numbers were wrong. Thought we had a deal then we noticed error which changed the bottom line. We did buy the car. Took a vehicle in for the toyota care complimentary service when purchased for 2yrs/25k. Service advisors were very nice and their wait center is very nice as well, but when I went to change the oil af service when purchased for 2yrs/25k. Service advisors were very nice and their wait center is very nice as well, but when I went to change the oil after the coverage ended I was frustrated to find that not only did the tech(s) over tightened the oil filter housing cap but they did the same as well with the drain bolt. Oil was fairly low and the engine air filter was extremely dirty, and although highly unlikely, I'm wondering if they even replaced it at all during the last service(20k miles). I Had to buy a new filter housing cap and check if any stripping was done on the filter housing assembly and oil pan threads. Thankfully an independant shop assured me no damage was done to either components(filter cap was ok, but I will need to change with the purchased part #15620-36020 during 60k oil change for my own peace of mind, but drain plug had to be replaced for minor stripping) and even showed me the they were fine but the fact that I had to take time out of my day to take to a shop for a relatively easy and minor service that most owners can do with is just mind boggling. Of course the fault lies on me for not checking the work was actually done, however that is not an excuse on the dealership. With the way cars are being built and being heavily relied on "Dealer-Only" service related items more and more, it is very concerning to see that if a a simple service appt is being botched how can we as the consumer expect major services to be done correctly ?! I genuinely hope this was just one bad experience. With all that being said unfortunately I cannot recommend this dealership service center, although I hope you do not have to deal with this minor issue, or any at that. More
