Took my truck in for warranty work on aug 3rd and told the service guy what was wrong. The truck was needing the batteries replaced (diesels take 2 battery’s). The service manager then proceeds to tell me the service guy what was wrong. The truck was needing the batteries replaced (diesels take 2 battery’s). The service manager then proceeds to tell me that it would be a week before they could get to it. So I had to jump a 2 year old under warranty truck off for a week Strike 1. So I dropped my truck off on Sunday aug 8th because I didn’t have time to get it there at the 8am scheduled time they gave me. So at 1:30pm ish on Monday aug 10th I went to check on my truck because I hadn’t heard anything from them yet. Service manager said “give us just a couple minutes we’re almost done”. So after about 5 min of waiting the service manager came up to me and said that they had my truck done. The manager then proceeds to tell me that they only replaced 1 of the 2 battery’s that only one of them checked bad. Strike 2. I then go get the truck and it started up like it was supposed to and everything worked correctly. The the next morning aug 11th I put my kids in the truck to take them to school, then I get in and try to start it up and the truck was stone cold dead. So dead that my 400 dollar jump box wouldn’t start it. I then call the service department and tell them that they have a problem and that they needed to send a roll back to pick up my truck because it was dead again. They then proceed to tell me that I needed to call Chevy roadside assistance and have them bring it in. I called and they sent out a small rollback that my truck wouldn’t fit on safely. The tow truck driver offered to help jump it off and follow me to friendlys shop. With the help of his jump box and mine we got it running. I then drove the 20min from my house to the dealership and pulled in and went in to talk to the service manager. He then asked me if I drove the truck there and I told him yes. He then says that he wishes that I wouldn’t have drove it because now the batteries would check good and Chevy wouldn’t warranty them. I told him that I didn’t care what they checked that I wanted 2 new batteries installed because the new one that they had installed the day prior had been discharged to nothing. He said that they couldn’t do that because Chevy wouldn’t cover it. I then told him that I didn’t care what they done that I would be waiting in their lobby and just wanted my truck fixed and to let me know when it was done. After waiting for 2 hours they finished my truck and came back to me and said that they replaced just the other battery that they didn’t change the day prior. I’m still not happy that they didn’t change both battery’s the second time but I will be trading the truck for a Ford in the next week so it doesn’t really bother me anymore. More
