My problem with this company is their service department. After being screwed around with for 6 months trying to figure out this issue…I finally talked with the head tech and he did a ride along and told me After being screwed around with for 6 months trying to figure out this issue…I finally talked with the head tech and he did a ride along and told me exactly where the problem was. 3 days later they say they looked and found nothing wrong. When pressured about it…..they did nothing but shift from 2 to 4 wheel drive and listen to the engine!!!!!! That’s it?!? When I asked why they didn’t take the transfer case apart after he clearly said it was bound up he says well it shifted fine now!!!!! They CLEARLY don’t want to do repair work at this REPAIR shop because why…….i have a warranty…..and yes I bought the car and warrenty from them!!!!!! I’m being screwed with until my warrenty runs out…… stay away from “friendly” chev!!!!!! More
Took my car in to be serviced. Was told there would be a diagnostic test fee to discover the issue. Don't like that but fine. Unfortunately, the cost of the needed repairs far exceeded the value of the vehicle so I chose not to move forward with the suggested repairs. What I take issue with is they charged me not 1, but 2 diagnostic fees, one for each issue I was told. This is absolutely insane and borderline criminal. I had to pay $350 just to find out I have a care that is not worth fixing. Then when I went to pick it up, THEY LOST MY KEYS! I had to wait a half an hour while they looked everywhere in the building it seemed and had to call multiple people not working at the time. I stood there for a half an hour before they found them. Extremely unprofessional. More
UPDATE: Was contacted by service director and apologized for the lack of communication. He did a great job of making it right. Will consider brining back car to dealer. My truck needed to have the rear oil housing seal replaced. All fine and dandy. This 7 hour shop time repair took 6 days, which I would have been ok with if my service coordinator would have called to let me know or returned calls in a timely manner. Since I had brought it in for an oil change as well, they said they would not charge me for the oil change, since with the repair they needed to replace the oil anyway. Low and behold when I was charged they included the oil change as well on top of the quoted repair for the oil housing. I am ok with issues going on with mechanics being sick or other issues popping up. I just didn’t appreciate the radio silence. I have enjoyed taking my car here in the past and purchasing three cars from here. I will not be going back or purchasing another car from Friendly. More
Made an appointment to get recall work done. Dropped the vehicle off on a Monday and got a call Tuesday morning saying they don’t have parts and have no eta on them. Horrible incompetent high priced dealership! Don’t know what they are doing! Car wouldn’t start they couldn’t find anything wrong or else lied about the diagnostic. Friendly Chevrolet is the reason there are 2 new Fords in the garage. An F-150 and a Explorer. So in all honesty I'm kind of glad my wife and I bought a suv brand new from them, then recieved absolute crap the garage. An F-150 and a Explorer. So in all honesty I'm kind of glad my wife and I bought a suv brand new from them, then recieved absolute crap work for her vehicle for warranty work, treated us like we were idiots, had the nerve to tell my wife that a timing chain was routine maintenance. Not a timing belt, a timing chain that should be the life of the motor. Went out at 87k mile and at 110k. First time it went out they replaced it. They said it was under warranty. When she went to pick it up they told her it was $2k. Manager said she needed to pay it or she can't pick up her vehicle. Second time it went out they wouldn't even warranty there own work. It was time for a new vehicle anyways but they still wouldn't touch it. So back to why I'm happy this all happened is that I love both our Fords. Was always a gm guy until I went to friendly Chevrolet. Wife couldn't believe when I drove home one day in a brand new f-150. Traded my Silverado in. That same day we traded her equinox in for a new explorer. How absolutely crappy this dealership is drove my wife and I completely away from Chevrolet/GM vehicles all together. If you're persistent on getting a gm, go to Miller Chev. They actually helped us out and gave us the timing chain kit for cost. They were going to do the work for cost also but decided to do it myself. I would've bought from Miller but with friendly chev along with other reasons I started to hate gm vehicles I just decided to part ways completely. My brother almost bought a brand new 3500 from them this summer. I'm glad he called and asked my opinion. He's now very happy with his Cummins diesel. I will bash this dealership as much as I can for what they did to us and every sale I can get these people to loose will help me sleep better. More
Service department couldn’t figure out why my engine light keeps coming on & now they won’t return my calls. Great. On star figured out the problem in less than 5 minutes.
