Disclaimer- I love my Telluride it’s an awesome vehicle. This review is for the service center and does not reflect my feeling toward my amazing vehicle. A few weeks back my car ran out of oil. I thought ma This review is for the service center and does not reflect my feeling toward my amazing vehicle. A few weeks back my car ran out of oil. I thought maybe I messed up big. Then it happened again. I took my car to a local mechanic (who was amazing) and he let me know there was a fracture in the oil housing compartment (side note this is a known issue on this vehicle and this part has been repaired in over 1000 of these vehicles this year alone)and told me to not pay him to fix it because the car was still under warranty (77k miles warranty for 100k). I called up this kia service center and after explaining the issue, the woman told me it was not under warranty. After discussing that I am the original owner, it does have a warranty to 100k the woman agreed and set me an appointment. Why would the immediate answer be NO without even having the details? I was a little uneasy about that. Come to today I bring in my vehicle (under warranty) and drop my keys at the front counter. The gentleman there informed me that I needed to sign some papers then proceeded to tell my it wouldn’t be under warranty (really?!again?!). After discussing (again) with this employee he realized that it is in fact under warranty. Skip ahead a few hours. The mechanic team sends me a text detailing some repairs needed including a belt tensioner that they said needed fixed immediately ($703.90) as well as several other issues. I decided to call to ask about this and was none of that also under warranty? Well you guessed it that was also under warranty. It was fixed along with the oil and I got my car back today. Another issue they wanted to address was a tire that needed replaced- they are not wrong it does but they wanted $535 for 1 tire and install. I’m sorry what?!?! That is wildly expensive. This place is straight up predatory. They will take you for your money if you let them. Don’t trust them and honestly stay away if you can. More
