Thank you for sharing your experience. We are truly sorry for the hardship and frustration you went through. We would like to clarify that the 2024 Kia Niro you purchased was not sold by our dealership. It was a Kia lease return that had been sent to auction, and you purchased the vehicle through that auction process rather than directly from us. While our dealership had previously performed maintenance on the vehicle during its lease term, we did not own, inspect, transport, or sell the vehicle after it left our possession. Because of that, there were limitations to what we were able to do once the vehicle had changed hands. Throughout this process, we remained in communication with Kia regarding your concerns, and we understand that Kia has since reimbursed you for the vehicle. While we recognize that this does not erase the inconvenience and stress you experienced, we are glad a resolution was ultimately reached.

To the Dealership Management Team, Your response attempting to shift blame onto the auction process completely misses the point and ignores basic automotive safety standards. Whether or not the vehicle was purchased directly from your sales floor is irrelevant. The core issue is that your service department performed maintenance on it, took payment for that negligent work, and is now distancing from the catastrophic engine failure resulting from that negligent "maintenance". When a certified dealership service center works on a vehicle, customers expect—and safety regulations demand—a basic standard of care, professional diligence, and an accurate assessment of safety hazards. DEFLECTING RESPONSIBILITY by pointing to the chain of ownership does not excuse: > Negligent Workmanship: Performing incomplete, improper, or substandard service on critical vehicle components. > Failure to Identify/Report Safety Risks: Returning or passing along a vehicle without properly diagnosing or warning of severe defects. > Dismissive Customer Service: Leaving a driver to deal with severe hardships until corporate intervention was required. The fact that Kia Corporate had to step in and fully reimburse the vehicle proves that the underlying issues were severe, legitimate, and undeniable. Corporate reimbursement resolves the financial loss of the vehicle, but it does not absolve your service department of its poor practices or the safety risks your team allowed to stand. In the very least, the Ken Ganley Board should take stock of their Corporate Mission Statement, which is a total farce. Not one Ken Ganley employee adhered to it. Given the irresponsible experience I was subjected to, this situation should be escalated for internal review to the Ken Ganley Board, and to Ken Ganley himself. No other customers are should be subjected to the these catastrophic and dangerous oversights.
