Buyer beware - pricing tricks We were shopping for a used Hyundai and liked one example within our price range that is a few years old with relatively high miles. We asked for a an outright purchase quote and it came in as Sales Price as shown on it, plus $800 in accessories of unknown kind, $599 Proc/Doc fee, and then Tax in dollars with no percent of State/County break down. An educated person knows that any accessory or option on a used car is part of the price so it is effectively ZERO and $599 Proc/Doc fee is a total scam since the dealer has minimal to np paperwork to do but to turn a title to the owner. We kept the cool and countered by asking to explain these additional costs and heard nothing back but "what we can do for you?" that totally avoids the question. There is a dealer about 100 miles away that had a similar example for a thousand less and no price tricks so we ended up getting the car there. Why would anyone would want to be taken advantage of by this place? More
