I am 86 years old, my wife and I were in need of a new car, the one we drove was 26 years old, my wife is in bad health and I was afraid this old car would quit on us as we went to doctors appointments ju car, the one we drove was 26 years old, my wife is in bad health and I was afraid this old car would quit on us as we went to doctors appointments just about every day, I walked into the show room of Nissan of Clearwater on November 22, 2025 with checkbook in hand, talked with sales advisor about what I wanted, she showed me new 2025 Altima SV which was what I wanted, we talked about price and at this point she brought in sales manger Nelson and we talked about advertised price and what I was willing to write check for, at this point he said to put check book away and he could get financing thru Nissan and give me $2,000.00 more for trade in and we reached a price of $29,041.00 out the door which was about what I had figured to pay. After waiting a short while I was told financing agent was ready for me, when I entered the room he started to talk about extra warranty and protection I needed, I told him I did not need or want any extra warranty or protection just what came with new car, I was 86 years old and would not be driving long enough to use any extra warranty. Financing agent was Jose Rivera whose desk top with computer built into it, he scanned across the desk top saying sign here, initial here and each time nothing but boxes showed up where he said sign here and initial here, I felt good about things moving along thinking that all this was being financed thru Nissan, never once did Jose say we are financing with someone else. As we finished up Jose gave me a flash drive with all info on it, no paperwork at all, which was find if financing was with Nissan. On December 10, 2025 I received letter from Capital One saying welcome to Capital One Auto financing, I went to Nissan of Clearwater and talked to Jose Rivera after looking at flash drive and found out that he had added on to contract $8,570.56 for extra warranty after I told him I did not want any, this made my pay off with Capital One $38,041.56, contract on flash drive stated that financing was with Wells Fargo not Capital One, in talking with Jose all he could say well we can't help it if Wells Fargo sells loan to Capital One. I was never told that $8,570.56 was being added on to loan or that it was not being financed with Nissan. Since I was going to pay cash for car I added $8,570.56 to the amount I agreed to pay for car which was $29,471.00 and paid off Capital One on December 18, 2025 in the amount of $38,41.56, as of this date December 28, 2025 I am still out $8,570.56 which I am told by Nissan of Clearwater I will get back in 5 to 6 weeks.. On December 26, 2025 I went into Nissan of Clearwater and talked with the Finance Director Miguel Toledo and all he could say well you signed the contract did you not and what do you want me to do, I told him since the contract had errors and was misrepresented to me it was void and I would like for him to rewrite contract and leave off all of the extra warranty on it and add an extra $15,000.00 to my trade in for all they had put me thru, again all he would say that he had spoken with their legal department and once the contract is filled nothing they can do, he did offer me 3 month of gas which amounts to about $100.00, what a slap in the face. I am hoping to keep this from happing to any one else More

I am sharing this review to warn others about my experience with Nissan of Clearwater, which was the worst vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. I purchased a 2019 BMW X6 after choosing Nissan of Clea experience with Nissan of Clearwater, which was the worst vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. I purchased a 2019 BMW X6 after choosing Nissan of Clearwater specifically because of their advertised reputation, safety inspections, and customer service awards. I believed I was dealing with a transparent and reputable dealership. That belief was completely misplaced. Before the sale was finalized, a malfunctioning rear liftgate was identified and I was assured it would be repaired. It was not. Ten days after purchase, the vehicle completely shut down in the middle of a busy intersection during rush hour with my children inside. The vehicle could not be shifted into neutral, traffic had to be blocked, and emergency assistance was required. The warranty had not yet activated, and Nissan of Clearwater accepted the vehicle back. While in their possession, BMW (Under Morgan Auto Group) identified multiple safety issues, including four bald tires and rusted, flaking rotors, conditions that were present before the sale and should never have passed inspection and made available for sale. Communication throughout this process was abysmal. I made numerous calls, sent an email to the general manager (which was never answered), and made multiple long trips to get updates. I was repeatedly given conflicting or inaccurate information about parts availability and repair status. After more than two months, the vehicle was returned with assurances that all issues had been resolved. They were not. The liftgate was still broken, and the vehicle later broke down again due to the same issue that Nissan claimed had been repaired. BMW ultimately confirmed that Nissan’s repairs were done incorrectly and had to be redone, despite Nissan of Clearwater making a claim against my service contract, which was authorized so they would be able to complete the repairs. Additionally, although a loaner vehicle was provided, it was not comparable, and I incurred out-of-pocket costs for issues that should have been addressed before the original sale. No meaningful attempt was ever made by management to resolve the situation or follow up, even after negative survey feedback was submitted to Nissan of Clearwater. Miguel Toledo did a solid job servicing the loan. Jeff Williams, although not directly involved in the sales process, was always helpful and went out of his way to help me whenever he was present. I am a 20-year Navy veteran and have purchased many vehicles over my lifetime. This was, without question, the most unsafe, poorly managed, and frustrating dealership experience I have ever had. Nissan of Clearwater does not stand by its word, avoids accountability, and provides unacceptable post-sale service. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere. More
Came into Nissan of Clearwater after getting the run around from several other dealerships with my expectations slow after such bad treatment elsewhere. Dennis took time to sit down and listen to my frustrations from the day and spent over 30 minutes getting to know me and my family before even once asking what we would need in a vehicle. Took the time to go over the different options in stock, pointing out the pros and cons for our needs before showing us the best two options. He could have pushed me to expand my budget but instead worked hard to keep me right where I was comfortable price wise without cutting what we needed. Walked out with a new SUV that gave me 95% of my wish list, was larger than I was expecting with better mpg, and had far more room to transport all of the equipment my kids use for school and sports. Dennis provided hands down the best service I have had in a long time at any dealership. 10/10! More
