I have wanted a Yukon XL for years and I am very happy with my purchase. Did not love the "at the dealership" experience, however. I was there for several hours for paperwork, and spent a large amount of time listening to a sales pitch from Finance on extended warranties. Not a knock on the Finance guy--he was just doing his job. More of a knock on GMC. I found it annoying because I kept asking sales folks what kind of service I could expert to come with my lease (free oil changes, etc) and nobody would directly answer my question. Turns out it was because they knew Finance was going to pitch me extended warranties, and so my paperwork wasn't done in the hope that I would agree to purchase additional coverages, which would increase my lease payment. I bought my previous vehicles from BMW the same way (by text with a sales person) and the transaction was much faster. My car was delivered and I just signed the forms. No additional sales pitches once I thought everything was done. And I got free service for a year with my new X3. GMC makes a fabulous SUV, you just need to be prepared that the selling isn't done once you agree on a purchase price. More
