When I recently visited Garden City Jeep, the experience was much different than just one year ago when I purchased a Wrangler from Garden City last July. Long story short, the Gladiator I was schedule was much different than just one year ago when I purchased a Wrangler from Garden City last July. Long story short, the Gladiator I was scheduled to test drive wasn’t ready. I had to wait a while for it to arrive and once it did, there was so little gas (the warning light was illuminated) I was afraid to drive more than a couple of blocks down the road. There was so much wrapping and plastic it made it difficult to get an accurate assessment during the very short and nerve-racking test drive. In addition, when the assessment of my proposed trade-in was conducted, (the certified pre-owned Wrangler I bought from garden City last July), it felt less than friendly and without customer service at the forefront. At one point the gentleman asked me, with a suspicious look, (mask under chin, and not covering his face I’d like to add) “why do you want to trade this in?”, and then asked, “what’s wrong with it?” After which he offered a very low value for my trade, much less than market value. This was surprising to say the least because I’m a car collector and of my collection the Wrangler is one of the best, immaculate, garage kept and had only been driven about 9000 miles in the time since I purchased it from Garden City. Because of my experience last week, I looked elsewhere for a Gladiator Overland. Not only did I find a similar one, the dealership’s customer service was outstanding. They were able to give me much more than Garden City offered for my trade and the buying process was seamless. As their competitor, they excelled in every way Garden City let me down, and even exceeded my expectations. Garden City wasted my time in such a disappointing manner. If your looking for a Jeep or Dodge I would consider a competitor dealership, one that has customer service in mind. More
