I took my friend Evelyn in a week ago to look at cars - this was the 8th dealership i took her too in 2 days - she is the most difficult person to shop with - she nit picks over every little detail, for in this was the 8th dealership i took her too in 2 days - she is the most difficult person to shop with - she nit picks over every little detail, for instance, she doesn't like the light bulbs, she thinks it should be white and not red. She doesn't like that the radio console is slightly tilted in the drivers direction, she doesn't like so many little things it's quite hillarious but so true. Sincere was such a wonderful sales person. He used a soft sell approach (which I believe is just his personality). He answered all questions and concerns and didn't let up with any of her concerns and finally he gave her a nice price reduction if she made a decision by 4pm (which was 20 minutes away) - he did this once he asked her if she basically liked everything about the car with the exception of a couple minor issues at that point - she said yes. He knew how to close the deal with kindness and poise. This is a terrific salesperson - no joke - he's is totally knowledgable about all aspects of the vehicle - he knows when to say something and when not too - if you are thinking of going to Mazda to look at vehicles I strongly suggest you head to Hempstead Mazda (we went from Hicksville) and ask for Sincere - you won't regret it. From the moment we stepped through the door, the car-buying experience at Garden City Honda was extremely pleasant. It was as if we were dealing with family. Having only owned Hondas in the last 1 car-buying experience at Garden City Honda was extremely pleasant. It was as if we were dealing with family. Having only owned Hondas in the last 10 years, this was a big step for us. Our sales specialist, Linda Golub, was very knowledgeable about the CX-9 and welcomed any questions we had. Linda Golub and the manager, Joe Arena, went above and beyond in every aspect. It was apparent to us that their passion was selling quality vehicles. I would recommend, without reservation, Garden City Mazda to my family and friends. More
Low pressure, helped us find the exact car we wanted even though we came in looking for a Mazda3, we saw the CX-5 and just had to have it. Great experience with Cesar and Joe - we made the deal in no time! though we came in looking for a Mazda3, we saw the CX-5 and just had to have it. I worked with George Schultheis to turn in my 2010 Miata early for a 2012. He made the transaction very easy. My previous experience with another dealer was terrible, so I wasn't looking forward to this one early for a 2012. He made the transaction very easy. So my wife has her heart set on a new Mazda3 5 door hatch. After a few phone calls back and forth, we head to the dealer to see what they can do for us. The money is put aside and she is ready to buy. hatch. After a few phone calls back and forth, we head to the dealer to see what they can do for us. The money is put aside and she is ready to buy. They happen to have the car she wants with the options. We are going back and forth with the salesman , which by the way is a great guy. Very polite and straight forward. But of course he has to get the manager's approval, whom by the way was being disrespectful to the salesman the whole time. He actually asked the salesman to show him where he made calls to us. I told the manager that he called us twice and this is why we are here. He insisted on seeing the guy's notes. My wife and I just looked at each other like "what the freak is wrong with this guy'? " I asked the salesman to show me the car as it just arrived on the lot today. he gets the keys and asked how serious are we on purchasing. I told him if you guys give me a good price, I'll sign a retainer today. Here is where the fun begins. His boss had offered $250 under invoice. I see another price that is $970 under invoice. The salesman says " that is employee pricing." So i think to myself, we'll start with that number and meet in the middle. I then tell him go into your boss and tell him if he gives me that price, we'll buy the car today. We go back in the dealership and my wife is still a little uneasy. (We were both getting bad vibes from the manager)The salesman says, " why don't you guys think about it over the weekend and get back to me. I don't want you to feel pressured". I tell the guy "look I'm not going to run back and forth, ask your boss to come out now and we'll make a deal". His boss comes out and asks if we are ready to buy. I said yes. He asks what do you think is a fair price. My wife then gives him the employee cost. He looks at my wife and says to her "lady you want a job here?. just tell me and I'll give you a job here and that price". I took offense to his arrogant attitude and you're not going to talk to my wife like that. So I told him " look you asked what we were thinking, that's what I'm thinking". He says to me' " don't come in here and insult me". My pressure went up. I looked him straight in the eye and told him " I guess I'll just go somewhere else". The guy gets up walks away and tells me to just leave his store. basically just threw us out. I will be contacting the district manager for MAZDA. This is not how you get a first time MAZDA buyer. This would have been our first MAZDA purchase. Not gonna happen. More
