I'm not sure I will be able to adequately express how grateful I am to have found Ted and Garlyn Shelton VW in Temple. I visited almost every car dealer in Waco and even bought a car from one of them but grateful I am to have found Ted and Garlyn Shelton VW in Temple. I visited almost every car dealer in Waco and even bought a car from one of them but was left so unsatisfied with all those dealers and their sales antics. (These guys still believe Waco is a sleepy little town and haven't grown with the city in the last 10 years and it shows.) I ended up in temple and I could not be more happy!!! Honesty it took me like 4 months to finally make a buying decision and not once did any person make me feel rushed, pressured or like they just wanted to sell me something. We have purchased 3 cars from Garlyn Shelton Nissan but this is the first VW. But Cory was the best salesman we have ever had. Salesman seemed genuine; final sales rep was a bit pushy but honored my decision in the end. I received a slight discount due to dealer not having vehicle color I preferred. I do not believe I was offered the best value on my trade in and was not able to take advantage of the military discount as a military spouse, due to what we were told was VW policy, although my husband is a 28 year active duty veteran. Overall, I don't think it was a bad deal, but I know I could have gotten my payments under $500/month with a better trade in offer and military discount, especially with my 800+ credit score. More
