Chuck the general manager was very professional and accommodating after a very long and stressful purchase. Over the course of about 3 weeks, Chuck went above and beyond what most dealers do or even consider doing, and this is likely because of Gary Yeomans' (And Chuck's) ethics and customer service mentality. I was initially very frustrated with Gary Yeomans Ford Knoxville, however, after everything was said and done, I can honestly say I would recommend them. Even if minor mistakes or unforeseen issues, the team at Gary Yeomans Ford did everything they could within their reasonable power to make things whole. Thank you guys, my family is enjoying the new vehicle. More

It’s the last day of the month, and Colby needs to hit his numbers like Georgia needs to hit the SEC championship (he’s a Bulldogs fan, bless his heart). Meanwhile, I’m an Ohio State fan—so naturally, we bonded over mutual trash talk before I even showed up. I drove 200 miles (yes, TWO HUNDRED) just to work this deal out. On the way, I stopped at Buc-ee’s (because who doesn’t?) and brought Colby a bag of Buc-ee’s nuts—those caramelized, cinnamon-sugar, crunchy little miracles of joy. That’s the kind of guy I am: if I’m dropping thousands on a truck, I’m at least going to feed the salesman a snack. Colby, who’s only 24 years old but somehow already a married father of two and a 6-year vet of the car business (did he start selling Hot Wheels in high school?), greeted me the second he spotted my trade-in: a Mercedes Sprinter van. He was all confidence, humor, and brutal honesty—a rare combo in car sales. He even had the truck I wanted already pulled up front for a test drive. Professional. During the drive, we talked about life, marriage, and road trips. I asked if he’d ever drive to California. His reply? “Yeah, but ONLY if my wife doesn’t drive. She terrifies me. She’s the type to drive on the sidewalk just to avoid the lane lines.” I laughed so hard I almost forgot I was supposed to be test-driving a $50,000 vehicle. When it came time to talk numbers, Colby introduced me to his sales manager, Austen Reed—a young, confident, gym-going negotiator who looks like he should be leading a triathlon instead of a sales desk. We battled it out like a poker game: no pressure, just back-and-forth banter. At one point, I considered walking away, but Colby and Austen had already teamed up like Batman and Robin (if Robin refused to go to the gym and ate Buc-ee’s nuts instead). In the end, I threw out my final offer. They accepted. Deal done. Victory for everyone. The next day, Colby texts me a picture of himself eating the Buc-ee’s nuts I gave him, proudly declaring: “Having a snack.” Ladies and gentlemen, THAT is customer service. If you want to buy a truck and leave with more than just keys—if you want to leave with a hilarious story, a new buddy, and the confidence that your salesman will text you snack selfies—go see Colby Bishop (and Austen Reed).
