I purchased a faulty 2022 Chevy Silverado in March 2025 from Ken Garff Chevrolet in Avondale. In April, I had to have an engine replaced due to rocker arms breaking off and destroying the engine. Let me be clear, I do believe they sold it to me this way. As the "sound" it was making which was noticed by my husband(he was not present when I made the purchase) had been there since I made the purchase.. I took my vehicle to be checked out, I was told it would be there for a few days. I would not be able to get a rental/loaner until the truck was fully diagnosed which again should take no more than a few days. After fighting with the dealership for over a week, to even diagnose my vehicle, I then had to fight to get a rental car from them. Finally after several weeks of being in the shop, I get my truck back in May. I told the service advisor (Liz) when picking my truck up, that it seems to still be running wrong, its still shuddering as it was before I dropped it off for the new engine. She assured me everything is normal and "there couldn't possibly be something else wrong since they did just put in a new engine." I drove the truck a couple of weeks, and still was having problems, its shifting really hard into 1st gear, consuming copious amounts of oil and still shuderring. I finally took it back into the dealership and had them to evaluate my truck. That was September 9th. As of 10/20 I had 3 phone calls from the dealership telling me they had no update on my vehicle, the 3rd phone call was Liz telling me it was her last day of employment there and still had no update. So I begin looking stuff up on my own, I found this truck has already had a new transmission put in it with the previous owner at 5k miles, plus an additional 5 other warranty claims for various reasons. Now with me as the owner, an engine has to be put in the truck. This truck is still having issues today. After weeks of it being in the shop I reached out to GM CORPORATE, for help because I have 2 small kids (1 of which is special needs) and no car, no rental, and no answers. Gm started to reach out to the local dealership even after GM Corporate escalated it to their higher ups, there was still no response from the dealership and until 10/27 had zero response from them . So 10/17 , I requested GM initiate a buyback request, because I know this vehicle qualifies for a federal lemon law, on 10/20, GM corporate called and respectfully declined my request to buyback my vehicle. I said so now what, GM corporate said goodluck because we still cannot get any communication with the dealership. Im left on the hook, paying for a faulty truck and have nothing to show for it. On 10/10/25,10/14/25 and again on 10/20/25 I emailed the General Manager(Dustin Kereluk) of the dealership, and also who I believe may be the sales and service managers(John Sheldon, and Jeremy Sheneider) were cc'd on the email and still to date 11/17/25 have received no response from Dustin the GM. I requested him to contact me to discuss my options with the faulty vehicle his dealership sold me. After still no response from Dustin the GM, I found Ken GARFF Corporate in Salt Lake, I called them desperately looking for help, a kind lady took all of my information and assured me she would be contacting Dustin, and have him reach out to me....and she would follow up with me in a few days.. never heard back from them... Here we are...11/17/25....no response from Dustin....I was given my vehicle back on November 8th...Remember I took it in on September 9th...60 days.guess what they told me there's nothing wrong with my vehicle..My advice,stay away from this dealership, as far away as possible. And for the treatment I have endured..Im willing to lump the ENTIRE KEN GARFF DEALERSHIP FAMILY INTO MY WARNING, because clearly they do not care how the customers are treated. They dont care about the quality of the vehicles being sold, they are happy an unsuspecting buyer took a piece of crap off their hand More
