I paid cash (I have been saving for several years) for a 2025 Chevy Colorado Z71. It was delivered to me with warning lights and messages about the brake system. I was told not to worry because the battery had just been changed and the computer needed to "reset" after I drove for several miles and the truck went through several on-off cycles. After a day and a half the warnings stayed on. I brought the truck back and the dealership has had it for a month now. They have replaced the master brake cylinder and reservoir twice with no results. The last "new" reservoir then developed a leak right after they installed it. Either GM is supplying defective parts to their dealers or something else is going on. This has gone from "Houston, we have a problem" to the cash paying customer getting screwed. I was told that if I wanted to swap the defective truck for a comparable working truck I would have to eat the depreciation because "I drove it off the lot." Well, they conveniently forget that they are the ones who told me to drive it off the lot. All I want is a working truck for my hard-earned cash. I involved GM customer assistance and got a "case number" and that is about it. Everyone has been polite and friendly about this but that only goes so far especially after one month and multiple repair attempts. The bottom line is that I have paid tens of thousands of dollars for a truck that is still sitting on the dealer's lot because they are unable to repair it in a reasonable amount of time and so far have refused to simply swap the defective truck they told me to drive off the lot with one that actually works. My actual sales person, Andre, has been very nice. But, he cannot make managerial-level decisions and the management persons who can so far have not talked with me about how the dealership and GM are going to make this right. More
