Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership.
In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. People flocked from miles around to visit Joe Gambino Chevrolet because of their honest, up-front business model: We're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.At Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet, we believe a trusting relationship with our customers is the best way to run a business. We don't just want one-time customers; we want you to purchase vehicles from us for generations to come. A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. A family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and greater Arizona area, and our philosophy: we're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.
In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

I booked the appointment for oil change and alignment almost a month ahead of time and still waiting four hours for my Vehicle to be ready I was told alignment takes on average half a day but we all kno almost a month ahead of time and still waiting four hours for my Vehicle to be ready I was told alignment takes on average half a day but we all know better it’s about a half hour job I received a free Vehicle wash with the work a half assed job at best people are very pleasant to deal with very professional I would still recommend a keep in mind the wait time More

Only will communicate with the customer through text message...they dont speak with you. Not good customer service. They make you feel like they dont have time for the customer. They did the couple of this I asked them to do. But they did not communicate through the process like I asked. They didn’t fix one of the pieces I asked them to they said it might not be covered. I But they did not communicate through the process like I asked. They didn’t fix one of the pieces I asked them to they said it might not be covered. I told them to please check they didn’t check. Didn’t even say anything about. Didn’t do the tire alignment I asked them to do and he even discussed with me to do all four wheels instead of just front. Even though it was only two wheel drive. Didn’t even fix one of the buttons that I really wanted fixed just put in there working normally. If it was supposed to be on all the time then yeah it’s working perfectly but it’s not so no it’s not. Don’t be lazy if you don’t know or understand call the customer. Didn’t even call me to say anything about the service tell I called after 4pm. If your going to have a vehicle for that long and the customer is expecting it that day you should give him a heads up about hey we are still working on it just taking longer or something. So I will never go back to them. More
