Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership.
In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. People flocked from miles around to visit Joe Gambino Chevrolet because of their honest, up-front business model: We're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.At Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet, we believe a trusting relationship with our customers is the best way to run a business. We don't just want one-time customers; we want you to purchase vehicles from us for generations to come. We want you to become a part of the Gateway Chevrolet family, and believe, just as Joe Gambino, Sr did, that a family run business is the best type of business.
A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. A family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and greater Arizona area, and our philosophy: we're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.
In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

My car was in for warranty repairs, I made an appointment to drop off. I dropped the vehicle on my scheduled date and 3 days later and still hadn’t even been looked at. First sharief claimed they can work on a deal worth the new truck that is listed as 33 thousand, then when I get there none are in stock and is now 39k. Then I test drove a Silverado and he said it was 35 new truck that is listed as 33 thousand, then when I get there none are in stock and is now 39k. Then I test drove a Silverado and he said it was 35, 500. Once done, he said he did not have one, but wanted high payments. When I got ready to leave, they offered payment a I wanted. But now on a trick that was not even there, but too late, I left due to dishonesty. They called back and wanted to do the deal with the first truck I tried and payments. I get there and they raise the price 5 g on the trick and less on the trade, with payments higher. I was going to do it, but then they claimed threefold bank was closed so would call me in the am. No call or nothing from them, but one manager and once I responded and told him they ghost me, he did not respond. I go in and Shareif did not come out at first. Then they sold my truck that had my hold to someone else. Them they come and claim the bank said no. Tried to get me to downgrade a lot into a broken down truck . Ajay, where they thought I was a dumb women. They don't know I worked in car titles and fixing cars. Maybe next time they try scam they can get karma. Would not recommend them to anyone. I also referred my sob, yet for no referral bonus from them though a deal was done. They sold my son a lemon. More
