Disgusted! I am giving Gator the 1 star for the positive sales experience. THAT was the only positive in my dealings with Gator.I strongly believe in servicing my vehicles at the dealership in which I purchased BUT the collective incompetence I've experienced at Gator is mind boggling. The lack of care in my situation blows my mind. The lack of care from the owner to the service manager to the service advisor. The sales experience in dealing with Barbara was fantastic and top notch. The service experience has been a total and complete nightmare. I purchased a new Ram 1500 from Gator with a lift kit and tires and wheels. Shortly after purchase, I began to hear a rattle which has become worse over time. I called to schedule an appointment with service and was told it would be close to a week. A WEEK?!?! Never in my life has it taken me more than a day or two to get my vehicles into a service department. Almost a week later, I dropped my truck off about 8:30am. MY truck was in service until later in the afternoon and I was called and told that the rattle was coming from my exhaust and that Gator would not repair it. WHAT? I have a bumper to bumper warranty! I told Roger, the service advisor that either they fix it or I would go to Dodge directly and find out why they refused to repair my truck. He told me he would speak with the owner and see what he could do and he would call me back by Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and no phone call from Roger. I gave it until Thursday at noon and still no return call so I called Roger and left him a voice mail reminding him that he didn't call me. Friday at noon came and now Roger hasn't returned a call with regard to my voice mail so I called the service manager and leave him a voice mail (I guess nobody answers their phones at Gator). I told the service manager what the situation was and that I wanted HIM to call me so we could discuss this AND issues my wife was having with service. YES, my wife as well. About an hour later Roger called me back but NOT the service manager. The service manager never had the courtesy to return my call. Roger informed me that since I had an aftermarket exhaust, the rattle would need to be fixed by the company that Gator hired to install my lift/tires etc. The problem with that is, I DON'T HAVE AN AFTERMARKET EXHAUST and the mechanic certainly should have known that. Thinking that maybe I was wrong somehow I did as Roger requested and called this other company who has always been great and willing to help and they told me to bring it in. They were nice enough to look at it for me BUT after checking into things further they told me I do not have an aftermarket exhaust and that they did nothing to my exhaust when installing my lift. So, they called Roger at Gator and got his voice mail of course and left a message for him to call them. They told him they did nothing to the exhaust and needed Roger to call them back to discuss. Needless to say, Roger never called them back. At this point I am irate and disgusted with Gator and decide I am going directly to the owner so I call him and he isn't available. I decided since this was all so involved I would just write the owner a letter so I could fully explain everything. I did so and asked him to call me so we could discuss. THE OWNER NEVER CALLED ME EITHER!!!! Now, I am done dealing with Gator and I am going directly to Dodge. I will also find every review site on the internet so everyone is aware of my dealings with Gator! Never in my life have I dealt with a dealership like Gator. This is my 3rd Dodge truck and I bought the first two from a dealer in Merritt Island and never had any problem dealing with them. For this truck I made the HUGE mistake of purchasing from Gator. I will probably own more Dodge trucks but you can bet your bottom dollar I will NEVER make another purchase from Gator. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! (after I wrote this about a month or so ago, the owner did finally call) After speaking to the owner, I took my truck in at 8:30 on Tuesday morning and dropped off. They had the truck all day. About 4:45, Roger called and said they wanted to keep the truck overnight because they could not duplicate the rattle? Roger had already taken a ride with me last time they had my truck and heard the rattle and it is my understanding the mechanic heard the rattle as well and pin pointed it to the exhaust so what is the problem? Anyway, I agreed. Now it is Wednesday and NOTHING from Roger ALL DAY. I call him and naturally got his voice mail so I called back and had him paged. They couldn't find him so I left a voice mail. He called back and said they couldn't duplicate the rattle?!?!?! WHAT?!?! You had the truck all day long!!! WHY didn't someone call me and have me come down so they could ride with me?!?!? No real answer to that. I told Roger that the mechanic from last time already heard it and supposedly knew what the problem was. Roger said that he put a new mechanic on it?!?! WHAT KIND OF LOGIC IS THAT?!?!?! You have a mechanic there that has already heard the rattle and knew where the problem was, why on earth would you have another mechanic work on it?!?!? Again, no real answer. Roger said they wanted to keep it overnight AGAIN! I was so disgusted, I just said OK. After thinking about it for a few minutes I was just irate so I called Roger back and guess what? VOICEMAIL. I left him a message and told him I was done with them, get the truck ready to go and I was on the way to pick it up. I then called the owner and had a few choice words for him. I asked him WHY the truck had sat there for a second day now and nobody called me and he said "we didn't want to inconvenience you". WHAT?!?!? You don't think the truck being there for 2 days now is an inconvenience?!?!?! Unreal! I have NEVER seen so much incompetence under one roof in my entire life. I will NEVER step foot in Gator again for service or purchase! EVER! I am filing a complaint directly with Dodge about this dealership as well. Something needs to be done about this place! (one final thing. they found a "noise" in the door of my truck and informed me that they did fix that. That repair lasted about half way home and then started again). More

A lot of valuable time was lost as was the car we thought we had, so it was so wonderful to talk on the phone with Chuck, go see what he had for us, listen to us as we explained the deal we could go with, and then to actually go and purchase the car with out any new "extras" that we were not told about before. What a pleasant experience that was. Someone listened to us and cared. That's all it takes to have a great salesman and you have one in Chuck. More

They listened and truly understood what my wife and I needed in a pickup. There were NO surprises at delivery; always frequently mentioned in negative reviews. Buying a car is usually stressful but this time it was a blast. Don was very professional and easy going at the same time. Usually salesmen are worried about making money and not the customer. This time, it was different. When we sat down to talk numbers. Don made it fun. We battled for a while but eventually agreed on a number.
