Interestingly enough there was a total of 5 visible employees (one assisting a client) and three clients who had already been greeted. The owner Kenneth Gessinger I reported to corporate today! I purchased vw license plate covers. They didn't have the correct hardware to attach. They left my license plate hanging loose. I told him I was going to write a letter to Vw. Ken must have been having a bad day and across the floor in front of customers and employees told me to blow it out my xxx. I would highly reccomend this deal This is my second lease with Gensinger Volkswagon in Clifton. I returned my Jetta early and leased a 2016 Tiguan S. I would highly reccomend this dealership; I worked directly with Humberto Lapa and Frank Barone. I visited 2 other Volkswagon dealers and one Ford dealer (for a comparable vehicle) before making a decision. Gensinger salesman was professional and upfront about everything, we worked out a deal I was happy with -without any nonsense. He was upfront about all fees and did not pressure me. My biggest pet peeve about some of the other dealers was when they claimed I had to buy the car "today" or the deal would expire. I don't have time for that type of nonsense, I think everyone needs a day or two to decide before making a large purchase. In my experience the dealers who are quick to push the deal are often hiding something. It wasn't like this with Gensinger; I was given a price and I was able to take the time to decide and shop around. Gensinger had the best deal overall, minus the annoying pressure; couple that with a friendly salesman and a no b.s manager=sale for me. I've also used their service department for my Jetta and I was very happy with their service. I would definitely recommend this dealership. More

I'm not sure what circumstances led to the bad reviews that have been written, but I can honestly say that is the exact opposite to my experience. I purchased my brand new GTI in 2011 from Humberto Lapa, who is probably the most genuine guy you'll ever meet. He worked with me on a fair price that was competitive and affordable. I visited 5 local VW dealers prior to meeting with Gensigner. Without naming any names, every other local dealer was trying to pull the old school A-typical car dealer tricks - with Humberto, there were none. In summary, it was the BEST buying experience I have ever had. Thankfully this stellar experience didn't end at the point of purchase because their Service Department brings it to another level of awesome. These guys have treated me like family over the years, providing me with honest and accurate information about my car and my wifes' Jetta. I must highlight Edgar, Brian and Vinnie - Thank you for restoring my faith in service departments and humans in general. You and your team are amazing people - easy to talk to and you care that I understand what's going on. That is a are rare quality today. I've dealt with other dealerships and fortunately I'll never have to again. My Family and I are not going to any other place for a car or for service.
