Bad practices I went to look at a 2003 Nissan Central that was advertised at $2992 but by the time they added on all there extra charges it came to $4196. WOW what I went to look at a 2003 Nissan Central that was advertised at $2992 but by the time they added on all there extra charges it came to $4196. WOW what a DIFFERANCE! Since I had just sold my car I knew how much taxes and title transfer was I just couldn't understand how they came up with that figure I called and asked a manager how a $2992 car ended up being $4196 he explained that they charge $800 for filing fees. When I looked that up on the internet it said that they had heard of as high as $499 for filing fees but $800 was mover been heard of. Most states put a cap on filing fees but Florida does NOT! Having a filing fee is just a way to put free money in there pockets. How much do you think a dealership charge for them to write down in a file that a car was sold at x amount of dollars? Contact your local congressman and demand they either outlaw or at least put a cap on filing fees. Getter uses a reasonable price to get you into there dealership just to find out the price is going to be almost double the cost. More
