I came into Gettel Toyota of Bradenton July 15th. Nuri was my sales lady, she did get me almost what I wanted. We found the car I wanted. Everything was great until my husband realized that the optio Nuri was my sales lady, she did get me almost what I wanted. We found the car I wanted. Everything was great until my husband realized that the options on the car I was about to sign for were not the same as the one we had negotiated. Turns out that first car didn’t really exist (even though they had a printout and price we were working with) so they spent an hour showing us cars that weren’t what we wanted until I finally had to settle for one missing an option I wanted but had everything else. She told me that in 19 days the car would be here, and that she would call me. September 1st rolls around and still no word from her. So I called, and she didn’t even know who I was or that I had been waiting for my car, then she told me someone deleted my number out of her phone. She called me back saying my car was there but it wasn’t ready. Lack of communication is an understatement. So fast forward to me coming in to pick up the car, she made agreements then told me there’s no way she can honor them, it was out of her hands. I felt like she said whatever she could to get me under contract. We started the financing through Matt. Would I go through Matt again? No, I would walk out. We sat down, excited to be almost done. We were there,in total, for more than 5 hours. He was upset because he was about to walk out for lunch to grab Sushi. Then he asked my husband what he did for a living to make small talk. Matt went on to say how he worked all the time, and he wasn’t happy with his job. Matt told me several times that he knew what he was doing, he worked in financing his entire life, and that I should trust him and get a loan and pay interest rates since from the looks of it I wasn’t a Millionaire and didn’t have a couple Million sitting in the bank. He spent a good 30 minutes trying to tell me what I needed to do with my money. I was almost ashamed I was purchasing a car with cash. When Matt got to the warranty packages and we declined all of them, he started to rush through the paperwork, hitting next before I was done signing the paperwork, because I was trying to read the contract. At the end of the contract signing, he said wow the dealership made a whopping $120 off you, now I can go get my lunch and walked us out of his office. I told my husband before we even left the building - I am not even happy that I purchased a car, Matt took all that excitement. The proud moment that you should have for not financing a car, for being able to pay cash, I felt very ashamed! I get that it’s 2023 but where is the customer service? After my experience with Matt, I was very upset so I emailed the General Manager, Roy Smalls. I didn’t get a response from him. I also messaged Anwar who is one of the kindest people I have met there, and he emailed me back apologizing even though he was out of the office on vacation. To be honest, I came back to Gettel of Bradenton because I had such an amazing experience with Einar, Anwar and the service department with my previous car. I’m like I can’t beat their customer service, I have had such a great experience with my Corolla from the beginning to the end. To this day, not only did Einar finalize my purchase, but he made it so calm, and easy and smooth. Einar is an amazing person all around and he cares! I did speak with Anwar when I finalized my purchase, he was so sincere when he apologized that I had a bad experience with Matt. He listened to everything I had to say. These two - Einor and Anwar - are the best best! I told Nuri and Einar that I didn’t want the pinstripe on the car, Einar even called Nuri to make sure it was off. They did such a crappy job taking it off, when we got home we realized part of it was still on. The ball was dropped so many times, between my phone calls to Gettel and all the people that were involved before I finalized my paperwork it was insane. Buying a car shouldn’t be this much of a mess. More
