Here is a timeline of our experience: 3/22/23 - purchased a 2017 Honda Odyssey and traded-in our 2008 Honda Odyssey. 3/23/23 - Upon returning to the dealership for maintenance work and Auto Butler service, we completed the cancellation form for the Maintenance Agreement at the dealership. Matt Parnell, who we originally worked with, was out sick, so we worked with Einar Saldana, who was supposed to submit the paperwork. We have a photo of that document as we filled it out but were not provided with an electronic copy of the completed form. No timeline given on when to expect the refund to be processed. 4/17/23 - Having heard nothing from Gettel, I called JM&A directly, the contract company for the Maintenance Agreement, to inquire about the status of our cancellation request. I spoke with a customer service rep who said they had no cancellation paperwork for us. I called Gettel and spoke with Julio Diaz in the Finance Department. He emailed me the cancellation paperwork, cc'ing Matt Parnell (the finance person we originally worked with) and their boss, Anwal El Gammal, asking him (Matt) to process the cancellation paperwork as soon as I got it back to them. I filled out the paperwork from Julio and emailed it back same day. No further response from Gettel. 4/18/23 I followed up via email w/Matt, Julio and Anwar regarding the paperwork, confirming they had all the information they needed and asking them to confirm that this was moving forward. No response. Later that same day, my husband and I both called Matt Parnell and left VM's. No response. 4/22/23 I followed up via email with Julio directly and stated that we had heard nothing from Matt, asking him to confirm the cancellation was in process. No response. I contacted JM&A directly to get the paperwork to initiate cancellation. 4/23/23 I submitted cancellation form and documentation to JM&A. 5/1/23 Called JM&A to follow-up with our cancellation request and was told that we need a Buyer's Order showing the vehicle is paid in full. The Buyer's Order paperwork we were given from the dealership shows a balance due because we were undecided whether to finance or pay in full. We ended up paying in full, but paperwork was never updated to reflect a $0 balance. We now needed alternate form of proof, which we have submitted. Meanwhile, we've had no response or engagement from Finance, GM or Salesperson at Gettel. We still need the Buyer's Order corrected to show no balance so there is no misunderstanding in the future about any balance owed.
